Standard Walmart fare. The staff were extra helpful considering it was a holiday and they had to work. Blessings for all the smiles and wishes and happy holidays from the staff!!! Highly recommended
16 normal lines availble, only 3 open. I don't use self checkout. But those lines are ridiculously long also. This walmart is worse than the ones in the urban areas. Their workers are doing what they can. Its upper managements fault for not staffing the store properly. I'd rather spend more money at publix than shop here again. Money comes and goes. Time doesn't.
First time I have been to the Hoover location, was not surprised at all that it was very busy but the Self-Checkout Line was welcomed by a sweet young lady who made the transition smooth and quick. The only negative thing would be that the there was a lot of product's missing and shelf's were empty and not very kept up. I truly understand why with it being Christmas and the Supply chain issues but there was a lot of product's in the Outer Lanes "Row's" could have been worked on shelves. I totally I totally understand and sympathize with the employees how do you work long hours during the holidays.
I've shopped at this Walmart for many years and have never had a negative experience, it's always been a good place to shop. But today, Ms. Jeanette, an employee for about 20 years made it a GREAT experience. She was so kind and so good with my son - it turned an otherwise stressful trip into such a positive visit. I really hope they treasure such wonderful employees , they make all the difference
So far my favorite Walmart I will drive 20-30 minutes out of the way just to go to. No lines, no wait times, great parking, SO CLEAN AND ORGANIZED. This is the first time I've managed to get everything on my list because their inventory was correct online and showed everything in stock. Seriously. So great. Go here. Helpful and nice employees, an abundance of carts at the entrance helpful when you have children. This shopping trip made my day. The only thing I could ask from this Walmart is if they could move closer to where we live lol. This should be the poster store for other locations! Definitely coming back!!!!!
Better than Bessemer Walmart. But order pick up is atrocious. The few times that I have ordered they’re always delayed by hours or I wait an hour for someone to bring it out to the car. This last time I placed an order pick up I canceled it because it was going to be delayed and it wasn’t being prepared yet. Only to find out when I pressed cancel that it was only a cancellation request. Then customer service told me that a cancellation request can take 48 hours. So now I can’t just go to the store and go get things I need because my money is tied up with an order that may or may not be filled. And if it does get filled and I don’t want it , I have to return it in store. 3rd time is a charm.
I sat for over an hour after they said my order was ready for pick up. Then they left out about a third of my order. When I called, they said that if I came back tomorrow they would bring what was left out. I come again after they say it’s ready. I tell them that if it needs to be re-shopped, let me know because I cannot spare another hour. After awhile, I ask about my order, and they let me know that they already have it being re-shopped. I guess that it might come quickly anyway, so I wait, and wait, for over another hour. Very disappointing, though the people were nice. I do not recommend using this Walmart for pick up orders. They have not yet done anything to make it right, but I’m told that they’ll be speaking with their manager tomorrow…
This is full of the rudest people I've seen. I was doing a dot com pickup as a delivery. The dot com person told me I cant walk in a general location by the deli where EVERYONE GO!! She stated is was a safety precaution to be in walmart. Safety precaution?! There is someone im watching beside me buy a . If you are lucky to get a pickup if takes a hour!!! Rude rude rude people that will not answer a phone Even for groceries pickup!!!
The store itself is the four star rating. Some employees park in the handicap spaces. But they do have a young lady that went the full measure to locate some sauerkraut that I couldn't find the last three or four times I had been there looking.
Terrible customer service. They had multiple employees standing around the self serve check out and when I asked if they could have someone open a register because I don’t like to use the self serve I had a full cart, one of the ladies laughed, rolled her eyes and told the other employee to “help” me at which time the other employee pointed out all the empty self serve stations. There are enough other walmarts around that I have no intention of returning to this one and being treated like this again.
