WSAH is a full service veterinary hospital in the Cary/Triangle area; we offer emergency services and walk in appointments, along with boarding and grooming by appointment. Open 8am-8pm Monday through Friday and 1pm-6pm on Sunday. We use the latest technology to help our staff diagnose your pets and keep them safe throughout their visit. In addition, we offer specialty Wellness Plans that help to keep your costs down while keeping your pet’s healthcare top priority.

This place is incredible. We had an emergency visit with our cat having an asthma attack. They took him in immediately and put him on oxygen and they were so helpful and kind throughout the process! The vet even helped us get the cost down as we needed some help financially between the oxygen therapy and X-rays. Our boy got to go home the same day and is doing so much better thanks to this hospital. We will definitely be switching our primary pet care to Walnut Street!
Walnut Street Animal Hospital is the best in town. If you are looking for quality care for your pet, this is the place to go. We have been going here for 7 years now. They have always taken care of our two dogs. Suji and Dr. Jay are awesome! Highly recommend.
WSAH literally saved our dog’s life! We’re not regular patients but our pomsky developed a case of pyometra and our vet, emergency, nor two other vets were able to treat her. When I called the first time, Vanessa jumped into action and got Dr. K on the phone to set our girl up for surgery before Dr. K was even at the hospital, and without even knowing our names! Vanessa & Maliah were so sweet with her during check in and when we came to pick her up, Lucy was extremely through with her discharge instructions and setting us up for success to continue her treatment at home. What was quickly becoming a nightmare was over before it really had a chance to start thanks to this wonderful staff. Thank you WSAH for helping our lil Sasha get back to her silly self!
I had my Sweet Reba in there for a second opinion on a growth. The team jumped right on checking her blood work, doing x-rays, and making sure she was comfortable while all this was happening to see if surgery was an option. Today, she had her surgery, and I am so thankful for such a great team that worked on her!! Great communication, very caring staff, and I would recommend this place to everyone!
Woke up on Sunday morning with my cats face very swollen from a feral cat attack. I called a few emergency vets within a hours distance from me to try to get her seen ASAP. Walnut Street Animal Hospital set us up with an appointment/arrival time in a hour and fifteen minutes from when I called. Checked in and my kitty was seen in just a few minutes. All the vet techs and front desk employees were friendly and nice. The vet on duty was knowledgeable and thorough discussing my cats treatment plan. Thank goodness for Walnut Street Animal Hospital. Double thumbs up for the cost-- as it was an emergency and on a Sunday. Was planning to pay double what we were charged. I would definitely return in an emergency situation and recommend them to anyone. UPDATED REVIEW 7/26/24 Had to bring my kitty back in for what I assumed was a UTI. Only to find out poor thing has kidney stones, no UTI. We had the same outstanding experience as our last visit. Everyone from the telephone call with receptionist to get her a same day appointment, to everyone at front desk when we arrived, to the vet tech and vet were awesome! Friendly, happy, wanting and willing to help in any way possible! Veterinarian was very thorough, explained everything he was doing/going to do up front, even lead us to the lab/back to show us my kitties x-ray's. Its hard to find GREAT service like this now a days..... Would definitely recommend them ALL for your furbabies!
We took our cat for a checkup and had the best experience. We were reassured we were in good hands through our anxiety. Doctor Montell and Denise were amazing, professional, and patient. We definitely recommend and will be going back.
I can't praise Brittany at Walnut Street Animal Hospital enough for the exceptional care she provided during Myster's neutering surgery. From the moment we walked in, Brittany exuded professionalism, compassion, and expertise. She took the time to explain the procedure in detail, alleviating any concerns I had as a pet parent. Throughout the entire process, Brittany ensured Myster's comfort and well-being were top priorities. Her attention to detail and genuine care for animals truly shines through in her work. Thanks to Brittany and the team at Walnut Street Animal Hospital, Myster's surgery went smoothly, and his recovery has been swift. I wholeheartedly recommend Brittany to anyone seeking compassionate and expert veterinary care for their furry family members.
Over the years, almost everyone I've worked with here has been great and the ones that weren't aren't there still. Dr Hopson and Dr K are my favorite vets. I love all the techs, but Denise stood out the other day. One of my dogs the one that can't lie down is high-strung and no one besides me is usually able to calm him down, particularly when there are loud sounds or his legs or feet are touched. But despite everyone being under a bit of stress due to a long appointment another dog patient was having trouble, and needing to be manipulated heavily to check his legs for dysplasia, she was able to calm him down with her demeanor and an ear rub. Thanks Denise!
We took our fur baby in for a vaccine and heartworm test this afternoon. Our technician, Suji, was new to us but she was impressive. Not only was she knowledgeable, but was also very kind and loving with Jaxon and calmed his nerves by cuddling him in her arms. We are so grateful for this very sweet young woman! Maliah is a wonderful receptionist as well!
This place is SO special to me! I have been taking Kemba here since 2018 and couldn’t really imagine taking him anywhere else. Dr. K is such an excellent and honest veterinarian. The staff cares about your pet the same way I think they would care about their own. I always enjoy conversations with Maliah and know both she and Vanessa will help Kemba get the help he needs : Very honest vet office and always willing to go the extra mile! Also the technicians like Kiara are extremely gentle and caring with Kemba. These folks are like animal magicians I swear Kemba always leaves there calm. Like Dr. Kolli told me…. I think it is because Kemba knows they are their to help him. I LOVE these folks like my family - thank you so much for all your love and care for Kemba
