Estate Planning & Probate Administration
Attorney Brendan L. Ward focuses his practice on Estate Planning and Probate. Mr. Ward works with parents of young children and same sex couples in planning for their families futures through appropriate Estate Planning. Regardless of the situation Mr. Ward is dedicated to helping his clients through proactive planning as well as thorny family disputes. Throughout his career Attorney Ward has had the opportunity to represent litigants in the Probate & Family Court dealing with difficult family issues in a fair and reasonable manner.
Mr. Ward is a frequent attendee at Continuing Legal Education seminars in Massachusetts and has recently attended many seminars on the Massachusetts Alimony Reform Statute. The new law in Massachusetts dealing with new Alimony cases has created great clarity and guidance for litigants dealing with potential Alimony scenarios. Application of the new law has created great ambiguity for previous alimony awards but Mr. Ward is prepared to help in either situation.
Mr. Ward is a graduate of Saint John’s Prep, the University of New Hampshire and New England School of Law. Prior to practicing law Mr. Ward was a Human Resources professional.
Mr. Ward is actively involved in the community. Mr. Ward currently serves as the President of the Board of Advisors of the Copley Society of Art Circle, Secretary of 01908(a group focused on providing assistance to all things Nahant), a member of the Finance Committee in the Town of Nahant and a past member of the Nahant Community Preservation Committee. Mr Ward is also a Pro Bono Attorney with the Volunteer Lawyers Project as well as with CLSACC (Cambridge Legal Services & Counseling Center).
