Do you ever wonder what factors contribute to the feelings you child experiences? The researchers at the Washington College Child Development Lab do!
The Child Development Lab is full of dedicated researchers who are looking to understand the feelings and emotions behind the experiences of pre-school aged children.
Our current study is focused on the development of emotional understanding, empathy, guilt, jealousy, and helping behavior in children between 54 and 60 months of age (4.5 to 5 years). The tasks are fun for the children and some even involve puppets and dolls! Parents find that it is a great way to observe their children in new and exciting situations. Most importantly this research will contribute to the knowledge of how children develop their emotions.
If you think that you might be interested in taking part in the study, or if you have any questions, please call or e-mail Dr. Tia Murphy! Feel free to also check out her webpage!
