I never stayed here, and it has now changed hands. In the past, the Inn was a beautiful and elegant place to have tea or a cocktail. From the pictures I've seen on IG it's going to be really gorgeous and ready for the 2022-23 ski season..the new owners have invested a lot into the renovation of this gorgeous historic location..
Lovely old place with lots of character, and a fantastic owner who treats you like family. I stayed here overnight before a winter storm in hopes of getting to Hunter Mountain for fresh powder skiing. The place is conveniently located in Tannersville, and there are a number of restaurants and shops nearby. The house is loaded with character, but definitely an older building. For example- the floor in my room had a definite slant, but the antique furnishings were charming. Fortunately the bathroom had a great stand up shower with seriously awesome water pressure- so they’ve definitely made sure you get modern amenities with the character. I skipped breakfast, but the coffee was great. The best part of the place, though, is the owner Stefania. After the snow storm, she helped several of us get our cars unstuck and up the hill. When my 2WD Jeep just couldn’t do it, she let me leave it and drove me to the mountain herself. I still can’t believe she did that... Thank you thank you thank you!!! What could have been a wasted, frustrating day ended up feeling more like an adventure albeit somewhat harrowing. I can see why families return here year after year!
An OK place to stay although not much going on. The place is quiet. One reason may be because of good sound proofing. Rooms are well kept and clean. Heating is central. Some part of the room and the dining area downstairs could be cool sometimes. I was hoping to see more going on, but the place is basically just for sleeping and breakfast. No bar or game room. The dining area and reception is closed around 8 PM so you will need to hang out in your own room. Although there are board games downstairs, but you have no access to them since early evening... Overall the experience is not bad, but I will probably stay in a different place next time. Just so that I could have something to do in case the weather is not friendly or I wanna stay in for some time.
Wonderful bed and breakfast. Excellent accommodating staff and great breakfast included. Building is older, which adds immensely to the charm, but it does make for a few minor issues mattress firmness, having to toy with the faucets a bit more that can be overlooked for the overall deal, and the heat and hot water worked consistently.
Beautiful historic building, recently renovated. Rooms are clean and quaint. Innkeeper is lovely and very accommodating. Breakfast is delicious. Views of the mountains all around and a quick drive to Hunter Mountain Resort. Have stayed here two years in a row and highly recommend!
Excellent place to stay, love everything about the Inn from the overall look, cleanliness, old charm, owner, rooms and breakfast in the morning. Love coming here every time I go snowboarding and thank you Stefania for always being the best. Will always come back.Rooms: 5/5
Converted house from the 18 00s with about ten rooms. The ambience here is not modern but rather old country style lodging. They succeed in providing the kind of atmosphere you'd find in a hotel by the turn of the nineteen century. The staff is very friendly and it provides a very good breakfast. There's no wifi and the rooms are minimally furnished and very comfortable.
We stayed here for the Christmas weekend. Cozy, cute and charming place if you are looking for something different than "all-like one" franchise hotels. Well-kept, clean and comfortable. Stephanie, the owner, does all she can to make you feel welcome. It was very sweet of her to give us a box of Godiva chocolates for the Christmas. Rooms exceeded our expectations. They are small, of course, because the house is from another epoch, but stylish and nice. The dining room, guest room and bar are very appealing. Each single bric a brac, a picture or a piece of furniture gives you an unforgettable feeling of travelling back in time. A great inn to spend a winter holiday or a romantic weekend with your loved one. We will definitely come back here again.
Lovely historic mansion. Charming room and accoutrements. Chris, part owner, manager, could not be more accommodating. In spite of plans to close for renovations, Chris extended whatever help and courtesies were available to him. Plan to return next year after renovations will be completed.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful location and rooms. Easily accessible. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The bar was well served. Experienced it for new years and had a blast! Will come back as much as possible.
