Washington University also recognizes that postdoctoral training positions are temporary training positions designed to enhance scientific, professional and other skills. The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) provides support and resources for postdoctoral researchers, as well as faculty and administration, and advocates for postdoctoral issues.
To be an advocate for postdoctoral researchers and postdoctoral issues, to create and provide training and career development opportunities for postdoctoral researchers, to be a central resource for information regarding postdoctoral training and to assist in the development of a diverse community of postdoctoral researchers.
