Great park with lots to do. Plenty of parking and easy access to the Virgin Tiver Trail. The only negative was a very smelly trash bin. I'm assuming the smell was temporary thus 5 stars.
This is one of my favorite parks to visit because it has a miles-long bike path where I see birds. I saw a Cooper's hawk near the pond today. The western trail is shorter but weaves through pastures with good tree canopy. 3 weeks ago I saw a great horned owl sleeping in a tree. Today I walked the eastern trail that follows the Virgin River through a pretty deep gorge. The photos show this trail with homes topping the gorge. It ends at a residential area. This trail gets more traffic than the western side, which ends near the industrial park by Costco.
The pond has turtles, fish and ducks. Canadian geese hang out as well. The soccer fields are nice and the parking is ok. There is a splash pad and playground along with a few pickleball courts. The Virgin River Trails run through it that can take you all over town.
Lots of fun animals to watch with pretty scenery. I intended to get exercise walking around while my husband went on a bike ride nearby but ended up spending most my time watching nature instead. There were so many adorable tiny chipmunks running around, lizards, ducks, and more. Talked briefly to a kid fishing in the water there. The only downside of the day was the summer heat & seeing what looked like 2 ducks trying to drown another duck, or maybe they were trying to mate? The duck seemed distressed so another girl & I scared them apart from each other, just in case. I plan on going back again, but next time with sunscreen and cold water. Beautiful place. It was good for my soul. Dog-friendliness: Leashed dogs allowed but only in certain areas. There are many signs letting you know where and there are also a few boxes on poles containing poop bags & a trash receptacle to help you clean up after your dog. These are around the park and at various intervals along the Virgin River trail that passes by this park. Picnic area: Coveted picnic area with lots of benches, BBQ available, outlets, next to the splash pad play area, and near bathrooms with drinking fountains. There's a good chance you'll also see little chipmunks sunning themselves or playing in any of the nearby rocks.
This park has a lot of great features! There are soccer fields, a duck pond, a playground and bike/walking trails. When we got to the playground there weren't any other people there so the kids got the run of the place. It lasted about 20-30 min before they were ready to head out and do something different. The features are more fitting for a little bit older kids I'd say about 4+. The bike trail is really fun, not too crazy, but a few decent hills to get your heart pumping.
Great Park with some very scenic paved trails. You can play pickel ball, soccer or have a picnic. Also some nice fishing at the bond. Just a great place to have fun with the whole family. If you head on the trail with your dogs, the city provides a few bag stations on different spots of the trail. Please pick up behind your dog, so everybody can enjoy there walk or ride.
Great park. We had a bbq in a pavilion. Park is huge. I hear they have lots of games & tournaments there.
First time here this last weekend for a soccer tournament. Great facility!!! The grass was nice and short/maintained! Had these boys really running. Never been on a better field. Loved the side trails and playground for my other kids who don’t love sitting through so many soccer games.
Great park. Pickle ball courts next to a large pavilion with a play ground and splash pad. Nice soccer fields and a fishing pond that also has a large pavilion next to it.
A very awesome park. Must see, bring the children! Kiddy pool with sprinklers in the rear of the park! Just stunning grounds, 3 fields, fishing lake, next to st. George river riding and walking trail! A beautiful place for sure! Manicured grounds are insanely perfect! My grandson loves this park!
