Great Family experience with large reclining chairs. Refills on popcorn and drinks no matter the size you order. Would have been a 5 Star if you didn't have to purchase your own popcorn seasoning for $1.50 for a tiny bottle and If they had a wider variety of flavors to choose from. I noticed they did have VIP chairs that were heated, can purchase tickets online or when you arrive. It is assigned seating!
This is the best theater in atleast a 30 mile radius. The outside is somewhat old and needs some love, but the inside is clean, warm and inviting. I have yet to go inside the cinema room, but the reviews do not seem disappointing. I will update this post if there is a significant downside.
Spacious auditorium, very clean, comfy seats. Kind of like flying first class. Even the small auditorium we were in had a very large screen. This is the kind of theater were you want to be sure to clean up your mess while at Great Lakes you just want to leave your trash behind. I'm done with Great lakes crossing theaters.
Our overall experience was great! The seats are spacious, updated, soft, and did I mention - YES, they recline smoothly! Free refill on our fresh popcorn, and plenty of other snack options available! Our Fandango gift card would not work at this theater only online, which was a bummer but the weekday prices weren't too bad. The staff was attentive, however the theater was clearly understaffed like a lot of places but we were greeted with a smile and friendly service! Tip; It's chilly inside! Bring a jacket, hoody, cardigan, small blanket...or whatever will keep you warm and cozy throughout your movie!
Enjoyed the new VIP seating. Verdict still out if worth the premium price. To get the full benefit one also have to load up the table space with extra food and drinks. If 3x cost of movie night not an issue… go for it.
My wife and I went to see Avatar last night for New Year's Eve. The gentleman at the concession stand possibly Brandon, my apologies if incorrect was polite and helpful.The theater was spotless clean. My wife got us the "love seats" and I must say... WOW!!! I had not been to this MJR theater in a little while - these seats were incredible. The seats reclined, were heated and had cup holders with little end tables and a wrap around wall for privacy. Did I mention they were heated ; Seriously we plan on going to the show more often. Very impressed. Mike and Roz from White Lake.
Hey have you guys ever thought of permanent lighting for the outside of your building? We offer the brightest and longest lasting lights in the market, with 20,000 color options and endless customizable patterns these lights will surely be a head turner to anyone driving by and bring in even more foot traffic. And lights can have a psychological affect on the human mind and can boost the moral of customers and employees, as well as provide a sense of comfort after those late night showings! I would love to discuss this further more in person, and get you a free quote!
Always have had a great experience at MJR. Bathrooms, theater, and lobby areas are always clean. Can't beat the free refills on soda! Seats are comfortable to sit in and looking forward to the VIP seats when they come to this location. Did notice at the movie I went to last night, that if you are in a seat right up against the side wall, there is the chance you'll hear some voices from the theater next to you. It's not loud or bad, but can distract you a little bit. First couple times I heard the voices I thought maybe there were some surround speakers next to the seats and was looking around a little bit to see if I could spot them. lol
Seat reservations and mobile app snack orders are my new baseline standard for movie theaters. I can't tell you how amazing it is to not worry about getting there 45 minutes early to grab a good seat. I got my seats reserved, so no undue rush. Plus, when I order snacks with the app, they are waiting at the counter when I walk in. I can breeze right past all the people waiting in line, grab my tray or bag, and off I go. A+ , MJR! Keep it up!
Mostly everything was great. My only complaint was that when we picked our seats, very few were left so we had to sit in the front row. However: whe we arrived in the theater it was only half full. We could've had much better seats.
