Great place, lots of activities for schools or churches or other large groups. Or youth from church and it daughter's school both come here and love it!
Had our first experience during the winter as a weekend ski retreat, and have gone back 4 more times since! Honestly the best camp I have ever been to and I have been to a lot! The food is homemade and delicious, the activities are well thought out, not just to keep people entertained, but to grow and encourage them as well. The staff are the most caring people who truly want to invest in the lives of those who go. Our church will continue to go back year after year because the experience is always life changing and positive. You will not find a better run camp with a more positive experience anywhere. If you want a life changing week/weekend, run by people who care about what they do and who you are, then you have found the right place!
Amazing staff, amazing facility. Can not recommend this place enough! We come back year after year.
I attended Watermarks with the Women's Group from Reality Church Virginia Beach. I have not been camping since I was a young girl. This camp is SO wonderful! The staff is TOP of the CHARTS amazing! They really go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. I especially remember 2 of the ladies working both named Sarah--great girls and so SWEET!! My 15 year old daughter and I had the best weekend. We WILL be back :
We have come here for youth camp and men's retreats for several years and by far, Watermarks is the new standard of camps. Travis owner has created an environment for growth, fun, and relationship building that I have not seen at any other place. The staff is an incredible team, there too many activities choices to do them all in a week, and the meals are awesome. You are not going to be disappointed if you make the decision to come here.
Our church brings our youth group to Watermarks every summer. The staff is always courteous and energetic. If there is a request, Watermarks does whatever they can to fulfill it. If we have a problem, they solve it. They care for people, and want people to have the best experience possible with them. The facilities are well maintained. They offer TONS of activities, and we have always had a great time there. I recommend Watermarks first to anyone who asks about a camp they can take their group to. They are wonderful!
A WONDERFUL experience! Our church just had a Women's Retreat at the camp and had a blast!! The staff was so kind and accommodating- they went above and beyond to give us a restful, exciting, and FUN swimming, ropes course, gun range, campfire weekend!! This is the perfect environment for an intimate weekend with your church family- of any age! Would definitely recommend this camp to other groups from our church, as well as friends and family!
My daughter has attended camp through her school for three years now. The facility is nice, camp like and out of the way from everyday life. The purpose of her camp has been focused on Team Building and in years past feel this was accomplished. She has enjoyed camp for the most part, surprising for a girl who is a natural homebody. The speakers the camp provides are sound and the kids seem to enjoy. The food is nothing to write home about, but it is a challenge to provide for all likes and walks of life. I love the team building activity on the obstacle course, depending on the time of year there are water activities such as kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. There are school lead activities and a shooting range. Most of which my daughter has personally enjoyed. I will share I was disappointed in how the shooting range was managed. While I am not opposed to the students shooting, our daughter had never shot a gun prior to this event. The first lady who told her how to aim told her wrong, which could have caused serious injury to another party. The second man who caught it helped her and corrected her. I am however, not aware of any safety courses that the students had to do prior to going to the shooting range. I feel this should be mandatory, if it is not.
We just got back from the camp for our annual Men's Retreat with 20 guys. This was our second year at the camp and all I can say is... A M A Z I N G !!!!! The owners have a heart like no other. The staff, ALL OF THEM, are the most hospitable, thoughtful, and proactive I've ever witnessed. The food is INCREDIBLE!! The facilities are designed beautifully to accommodate a great time mixed with fun activities and peace and quiet. We can't wait to go back next year. Highly recommended for ANY kind of getaway for youth, women, men, couples, or anyone!!
I was there this past weekend with my church and two other churches. I believe it was everyone's first time and I just have to say that everyone LOVED the time we spent there and all can't wait to return. The staff were AWESOME! The facilities were AWESOME! The food was AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about WaterMarks Camp, overall an incredible experience. Shout out to, and I'm sorry I forgot his name, but the gentleman that was leading the Gun Range. The kids LOVED that experience and wouldn't stop talking about it. To see the kids open up, not just at the range but to try new things all over the camp and help each other was a GREAT experience. Anyway, he did a GREAT job with so MANY kids not only at the range but I noticed he was engaged with many different kids throughout the weekend in different areas so kudos to all your staff for going above and beyond! Thank you for hosting a GREAT weekend and for providing such GREAT experiences and memories. What a blessing you and your staff are! Proverbs 11:25 "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." THANK YOU!
