Just WOW what a great event! Tim O'Brien, Sam Bush, The Dead South, zydeco, so much more! Great family atmosphere, so much fun seeing jam sessions after the shows in random areas. Make sure you get as much data online before you go if you're camping especially. We didn't camp, but found people's reviews really helpful. Bringing a cooler, chairs, etc is mandatory....long lines for food so planning ahead makes that wait easier.
Tubing was a lot of fun! 2 hrs down the river, with my husband and 2 yr old son. He got his own tube with a bottom and we had a strap that connected us. A blast!
Wonderful staff, great location, awesome late-night jams! Quality of the stage acts varies; 2019 wasn't as great a lineup as 2017 & 2018 -- thus only 4 stars instead of all 5 -- but most of us go for the open jams not the stage performances so no big deal. Booking Billboard bluegrass top 10 charting band Gangstagrass would be a great idea for 2020 -- that'd make it 5 stars for sure!
Loved it. Next trip will be farther down without power. That's what they make built in generators for
Lots of open area and you can park as well as setup tent almost anywhere. The river is shallow so you can leave kids to play by themselves or go for tubing.
Awesome and relaxing, spend as much time on the river as you would like. Take a break go get something to eat or cookout there if you camp out.
best place ever. great management. well ran grounds.
Ahhhhhmazing. what a fantastic festival. All the event staff and the fairgrounds staff made me feel like we are old friends. already ready for 2023 The event staff kept the trashcans and porto potties well serviced.
Great staff, easy and unhurried services. Simple tubing trip that's relaxing without being too far away. Great price! Just wish they had more permanent facilities for tubing area with the camp ground close by.
This use to be my favorite place to go camping for a weekend or go tubing and hang on the river for the day. They no longer do weekend camping unless you have baught a private lot $750-$1000+ or have an RV. You can't do day passes anymore and hang out on the river. Your only allowed to go tubing renting there tubes and then have to leave. I was extremely disappointed in how they changed everything. They also use to be very nice and helpful and they were not at all this time. Very rude, short and cold. Won't be going back. But as the rude lady put it they don't care cause they make more money now being private.
