I never actually been inside this park. I drive by it every day on my home from work. It appears clean & well kept. Sport teams practice there & it has a huge water park section that the kids enjoyed this summer. Only thing: There is a LOT of curb side parking, coming & going of parents- so drivers have to take care passing through.
Great neighborhood park and looks like we’ll kept/brand new. But all structures were nice and clean and well painted. The park has nice covered benches for picnic!
Nice and very funny park. My children love it!!
8/9/22: Signs need to posted regarding mopeds and motorcycles riding in the park. There are several people who ride their motorcycles through the park during the late afternoons and evenings. 7/3/22: I have noticed the playground is open at night. The playground is not lit and absolutely black. Children are in the playground which can be a safety hazard. I have witnessed adults and teens hanging out at the benches and inside the playground smoking weed and drinking. I guess when someone is injured and files a lawsuit something will be done. 6/7/2022: Park would be much nicer if all visitors cleaned up after themselves. Cans, bottles, dirty diapers and other garbage laying in the grass within feet of a trash receptacles. Police presence needs to more visible in the park, especially after schools let out and in the evenings. Overall, a very nice park. Safe neighborhood. Family oriented. Nice park for jogging, walking, reading and relaxing. Children's playground has very nice renovations. Playing fields for softball, soccer and football. Walking distance from nearby restaurants, Accessible to Bloomfield Ave, Broad Street, Bloomfield College, Bloomfield Lackawana Station, NJ Transit bus lines, 11, 28, 29, 34, 72, 94, GO28 and the Parkway north and south and Bloomfield Police station is across the street
Beautiful park and playground. People that were there were meh. Visited the small spray park which was nice. There was a group of teenagers in the way to the spray park smoking weed. I'm happy it's no longer illegal, but find it disrespectful to smoke anything so close in the presence of children. Another parent was also smoking right at the gate of the spray park. The new playground area near Bloomfield ave is huge and pretty. Shortly after arriving, i witnessed an older child peeing on the seesaw game then got up and went to continue playing in the playground with her pants all wet from pee. This is how kids get sick. The child's parent did not seem to be anywhere in sight. For this, i would not recommend this park.
this park is so perfect. it’s really big and has plenty of space to play and change your environment. there’s a path to walk alongside a beautiful scenery of nature. there’s also a basketball court. parking isn’t a hassle !
The water park is great and seems well maintained. Playground too but too many open gates.
Surprising gem of a park located alongside the Garden State Parkway on busy Bloomfield Avenue. This is a massive county park that continues back from Bloomfield Avenue to the Bloomfield-Glen Ridge-Orange border. The play park is newly renovated and done well, but don’t miss out on the bridge area over the stream, or the beautiful mature trees. Continue down Glenwood Avenue to a second part of the park across the street to the rest of the stream, cute little bridges, and charming lampposts along the walking path. We were there on a beautiful first day of winter 2019 watching the ducks as the sun was setting.
Beautiful place, I like to go there for workouts or running
Nice water spray park with a playground right next to the water park. Bring a beach chair if you like to sit in the shade, plenty of benches but most are not by any shade.
