I recently was so lucky to have given birth at the birthing center here. The entire staff was super welcoming, kind and they provided me with high quality care. When I arrived to be induced I was so nervous, but each and every person that entered my room during my stay was just completely exceptional and went way out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and had everything I needed. They answered all of my questions and reassured me during every step to help me feel relaxed. Because of all of these wonderful people, I had the most amazing and beautiful birth experience that I will forever be able to cherish. I sadly was robbed of that with my first, when I previously delivered at St. Cats in Kenosha. Thank you all for showing me what birth is supposed to be like- I feel like I got to experience what you always imagine and what you see in the movies. The kindness and exceptional service honestly restored so much faith that I have lost over the years with healthcare systems. I will always be so thankful for the kindness of those who work at this facility.
I recently had a back surgery done here and ALL of the staff was so calming and helping during the whole process. I immediately felt results when I woke up and it was wonderful. Thanks for providing such amazing service and most importantly relief. :
If anyone in our family requires hospitalization in the future, we will try to go to St Luke or Froedtert. Nursing staff is excellent, but so stressed and stretched so thin that it is difficult for them to do their job. I felt like I was the nurse caring for my loved one in the hospital. Doctors are good, but they are usually at Oconomowoc. Lab results take forever. Coordination of care is nonexistent. Pharmacy sends incorrect meds or the medications are not in the correct form. We have been here numerous times over the last several months, and frustrated every time. Time for a change.
I have mixed feelings about this hospital and I know it's based on individual staff at any given time... however. This last issue is the straw. Good friend went there for large abscess. Waited hours I get it...he's not dying but c'mon and was sent home with little education and a poor discharge summary.....went back a few days later for same issue and had the giant abscess drained WITHOUT local anesthesia, then the ER Dr and nurse assisting LAUGHED at him whem he gasped and said it hurt during said procedure . A little bedside manner goes A LONG way. Another poor education session and terrible DC summary later, once again friend called due to copious drainage and blood loss and was told "oh I don't know" by the triage nurse. It's cool you don't know, but can you find someone who does? Took him to the new ascension hospital where the compassion and education was way more in depth. Both myself and my friend felt way better after our experience at the ascension hospital.. I get y'all are busy but I'll never go there again. If I have a limb hanging off, take me to elmbrook or froedtert. I'll manage. Not the first time I've witnessed close friends or family have a poor experience. First time I've ever felt prompted to leave a review though
I had the unfortunate need to go to the ER and then be admitted to the hospital. Like most people I would rather not be there. The entire team at Waukesha Memorial made the visit as good as it possibly could be. Everyone from the medical staff, security, housekeeping, and dietary did an EXCELLENT job. Keep up the good work. Nothing personal, but I hope I don't need to come back again.
I had a 5 days hospital stay at WMH recently . 5 Stars for super nurses on 5th floor !!! Was also fortunate to have Dr Ridge as my Physican and felt like I hit the jackpot with nurses and my Dr . To bad all the staff at hospital including CT room and others were rude . I gave less than 5 stars since I did not find ER nurses to be very compassionate making my time in ER miserable .
This facility has the most outrageous rates! Twice as much as California. I had a terrible back spasm to the point I couldn’t walk. It was a Saturday and an urgent care turned me away. This facility gave me a shot of opiates, a pt consultation, and sent me on my way. That service costs $3,500. They charge $245/15min for a regular PT appointment. Nobody tells you what things will cost prior to service. It’s criminal.
I was born at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in the summer of 1978. Unfortunately, I don't remember the event. I do know, however, that someone there at the time only inked 4 out of 5 toes on my right foot for my baby footprint on the back of my birth certificate. It scared my parents into thinking I was born with a missing toe! For this reason, and this reason alone, I'm afraid I can only award 4 out of 5 stars for this review.
I went in last night because I had a wicked headache, my body was cramping up. I had thrown up and I felt like I was going to pass out. I asked for Imitrex as it has worked before. I explained that I had taken Excedrin before I came. I have stage 3 kidney disease which is in my medical records. They don't show the stage but my blood tests came back with different results that go hand and hand with Kidney Disease. He said I should go home and take Tylenol. I have to take a limited amount of Tylenol due to my kidney disease. I can't take Ibuprofen as I am on Plavix and Aspirin. I told him I would take aspirin as I take baby aspirin. He pointed out that this would be dangerous, walked out to the area where all the nurses and other doctors were and announced that I refused to take Tylenol. Loud enough for even other patients to hear. On my discharge paperwork the second disease on the list was kidney disease. Does he not know how to read medical records? Even if he is being lazy, my blood results back up the diagnosis. The only reason they are getting a 2 star review is because the lady nurse was so sweet and polite. Nurse gets a 5 star review but the doctor gets a zero. Nice job Einstein, way to push Tylenol on me when I asked for Imitrex. I didn't need narcotics, but Imitrex would have been nice
There are several fantastic nurses, cna’s and doctors here. Unfortunately there are always one or two bad apples. The nurses are obviously stretched to their limits; which hurts the quality of care you receive. I had day surgery a couple weeks ago. When I had my online interview with the nurse i advised her that I was a hard stick for ivs; which she noted. When I arrived early at the hospital I also informed my nurse of the problem. It seems that too much time was wasted on rifling thru my bag and “taking inventory”, instead of important matters. Surgery was to start in 1/2 hour and still no I’ve started. The nurse assigned to me couldn’t get it started and was smart enough to realize the problem. She asked another nurse to help. The woman was aggressive and despite my YELLING for her to stop she didn’t. My Dr came in and tried to smooth things over because I was really to walk out. The anesthesiologist came in and looked at my arm and assured me that she could fix it. She was very kind and compassionate. If not for her, I probably would have left and not had my surgery that day. I’ve tried calling the relations department at Pro Health, but they’re obviously not concerned enough to return my phone call. While this hospital is definitely better than Oconomowoc, it definitely needs improvement.
