Wedeking's Bakery and Deli

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter, and ,11 adults. The cake was beautifully decorated and moistly delicious! Better than home baked! The price was excellent, and service was fantastic! Will recommend to everyone about this wonderful, affordable, family owned bakery!

I have enjoyed several visits to the bakery. My wife and I enjoy the fresh baked bread. The homemade baked goods are buttery and delicious. My showroom is just a few buildings away so I get the opportunity to take advantage of the lunch offerings when I need a quick lunch. I must say I have enjoyed every sandwich that I have ordered - can't beat fresh and made to order. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating.

Screw the moron who started this whole racist lie. This place has been nothing but amazing for longer than I’ve even been around. This is a staple in this town and we’re not letting them go anywhere. The cakes, cookies, pastries, etc are all so amazing and just beautifully classic. I can’t wait to get my Luna Belle’s birthday cake from here in November. This town loves you guys. We’ve got your back. See you this weekend!

I stopped by to get an authentic German treat for a friend of mine. His mother comes from Germany and I thought they would like it. It was my first visit to this bakery. I purchased one of their Stollen breads. I had one actually two of the Stollen samples and it was delicious. I also purchased a fruit-filled coffee cake. We traditionally have a Van de Camp cake each year for Christmas morning. Never again. The fresh-made coffee cake was the most delicious I have ever tasted.. 30 seconds in the microwave and it was a melt-in-your-mouth treat. I will now be stopping by Wedeking’s Bakery on a regular basis. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out on a great old world bakery.

This bakery has been a staple in Escondido for decades. They made my wedding cake way back when. They have always been top notch with a clean bakery and helpful employees. Tasty cookies and goodies!

It takes years to make a customer- and only minutes to lose one. Our family has been getting our cakes from Wedeking's for more than 50 years. We have hung in there, even as the quality of their products declined. Today they broke our trust forever. They ruined a special day by "losing" a cake. I would have been OK with an apology. But instead, they were verbally abusive! I am still in shock. When I said I would post a review on Google, they laughed and said "We don't care!" Well, here's the review. Folks, don't go there. Don't support verbal abuse of disabled people by incompetent, uncaring people. Shame on you, Wedeking family.

I had been running all around looking for the perfect cake to go with my sister's baby shower theme and no one dared take the challenge...I emailed an image of what I wanted and details of what I was hoping for...and they created an awesome cake! We loved it...and it tasted delicious...

Someone bought me a birthday cake from here. It had strawberry, kiwi and coconut. The cake was moist and the different flavors of fruit complimented each other. Love this place.

My friend and I went for a lunch and were served by the most delightful young woman named Missy. The food was good, but the service made our lunch outing a sheer pleasure. Thank you Missy!!!! We will be back~

You can't replace staples with big business. The love they put in to their food is apparent and I wouldn't have it any other way. I visit every time I am able to come home.
