We like Welcome woods, people are friendly. We have a new puppy and she barked alot while we were gone, sorry, now we know she barks alot and will turn the air on and close up or take het with us. Nice campground though! Going to have good intertainment on Memorial day and 4th.
Wel, well, where do I start, the campground is beautifully wooded like their add says, but everything else, well no!!!!! It says multiple playgrounds, we found none, the tether ball had no ball, the horseshoe pits were grown up with weeds, the hot shower house, well you will see the picture of it and funny but they didn’t mention bathrooms in their add, because they are legit out houses with no running water!!!!! They didn’t bother to tell us that when we reserved our spots, I am including some pictures, so you be the judge, we will never stay there again
Fun place have cookout family get together weekend
Thank God for Ed... This guy actually cares about this place. It has its issues being an older camp ground but the mature landscape is worth it, we had 2 big problems right off the get go. Ed however solved these both within an hour. Very nice and Friendly. I do hope that the owners listen to him because with some changes this place can go from a really nice wooded campground to the BEST in the area by FAR. Thanks Ed we love our new spot and everything works nicely.
Very nice family oriented campground. Security on site. Hook ups available with dump station or pump-out available. Firewood available on site with free delivery. Most lots full year around, but a few kept for weekend campers. RV or tent it's all good! Resaurants nearby. Restrooms primitive but available. Just a nice neighborhood to hole up for for a weekend. No lake access...so it's nice and quiet!!
We had a spot there this year, 2016 and really enjoyed it. Having a newer camper with most amenities, helped, but the difference came from the created sense of community and Ed the caretaker/ manager. The rates are fair, the lots are good sized, and Ed is truly a great guy that works very hard at keeping the place nice!
Visited a friend there because I was looking for a place to put my camper because I heard it was a nice place in 2014... I visited in 2015 after the new owners bought this place and the Showers were disgusting. Bathroomtoilets smelled awful like it was never pumped out or cleaned. Lawn care was not kept very well. But the manager Ed at least had some good "moonshine".
We stayed here for a weekend last summer and it was really nice. They have a new playset they've built and a basketball court. The owners are reall nice and it's nice and quiet with friendly people. They also had a night with a free band and pizza. It's a bit older and not alot for the kids to do or I would have done 5 stars. But we're planning on going back soon.
This Campground is a beautiful piece of land owned by the most repulsive person I have ever met. The first impression of this camp is the office that is home to numerous abused cats creating a stomach turning aroma of urine leaving you feeling disgusted and sorry for any animal that has to endure this life style. Among the piles of trash and debris is the numerous dilapidated RV’s reminding me of Sanford and Son or pure redneck white trash. The park does contain an odd mix of some nice RV’s and wonderful people to match. Please be advised that the restrooms in this place are deplorable and I imagine the porta-johns at Woodstock were nicer. Third World Countries would condemn these structures as unsanitary and unsafe. I don’t believe the concrete holes, some might call toilets, that open to the cesspool of death have been cleaned since there construction. The nice shower house the owner claims to have is a breeding ground for thousands of spiders and its condition warrants nothing more than complete demolition. I am sure even the hardiest of people would agree that there condition is unsatisfactory. I found the showers in Iraq cleaner and nicer. Leaving the campground to shower, have bowl movements and enjoying the local area is a great idea but try to plan carefully and don’t forget anything because the retard running this place has the security keys set so you can only use them once every 20 minutes. May not sound like a problem but it will become one for you. A quick Google search for the owners name will reveal the numerous problems the owner has caused for the community, the board of health and local law enforcement. What a waste of wonderful real estate and some beautiful property near a great lake. In the hands of the right person this would be a great place but instead ownership rest with a disgusting, rude man that is just a little more than nuts. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!
This place has went down hill since has new owner ship in the last two years. Me and my family camped here for 4 years and the last two has been pathetic. You got bad electric in the c-block area the owner was notified several time about it Matt camper electrical units in his camper is destroyed cause of it the web pages says 50 amp hook up that's not true the electric in that camp ground can't run it your management ask people with 50 amp camper to only run half of there stuff. The owner told a camper when there brakers kept popping into there camper cause the electric is bad there and he offerd a fan to keep his infant cool when it was 95 dedegrees out side that was the fix for the problem. Then you got management speeding around the speed bumps is stead of going over them with there golf karts while there drinking alcoholic beverages during the day. Also them management on site goes around telling people better get your fire wood cause after a certain time I'm not doing it. Then I seen the management go off on people and making them cry yelling at them and stuff. There's nothing for the kids to do there unless the basketball fans the bathrooms are disgusting there no water pressure for your campers. So if was wanting to camper there I think twice before you do. And if you go there and camp if you have a complaint you might want to keep it to your self or else he kick you out if there. So if you campe there I wish you the best of luck. I try go else were if you can
