The mission of the Wentworth-Gardner and Tobias Lear Houses Association is to preserve and enhance its structures, collections, and grounds and to contribute to the vitality of the community through education and outreach.

Located in the historic South End of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Wentworth Lear Historic Houses faces the back channel of the Piscataqua on the corner of Mechanic and Hunking streets. Both the Tobias Lear and Wentworth-Gardner houses are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dating from the mid-1700s, the houses are classic examples of Georgian architecture.
The houses are open for tours Thursday through Monday from 11-4 p.m. from June 12 through Columbus Day. Tours begin every half hour on the steps of the Wentworth-Gardner Mansion.
Guided Tours, gift shop, and small function rentals
