Description

The Wintzell family founded Wentzel's Seafood back in 2004 in Wiggins, MS. It very quickly became a popular place for fresh seafood with an authentic New Orleans flair. The Wentzel brothers grew up in New Orleans with a love for the food and the culture. Henry Wintzell has brought the tradition of fresh, gulf seafood with a Cajun flavor to the MS Gulf Coast. Come try it for yourself and see!

They were short staffed so the manager took care of me and my wife - still great service. I had the fish of the day. It was ok: flavorful and plenty of food for sure, I think I would have liked 1 filet instead of two but on a bed of rice pilaf to add some complexity. The sauce that came with it was delicious. My wife got the grilled mahi-mahi tacos and she loved them. They have a small kick but really amazing. The bread that comes with the meal is really good as a side note. I would come back to try more things.
Really good food we've gone 3 times always getting something different and have never been disappointed. All the flavors are rich and have multiple things working together. The seafood is fresh and the steak was cooked to perfection Themosphere reminds me of New Orleans and the staff is fantastic. While it's a little bit pricey I'd say it's worth it and it's a great place for a date.
No complaints here, this place is awesome. Atmosphere, food, fun and drinks-- all top notch. Our server was awesome. We had chargrilled oysters, steak, gumbo and salad. I had the hurricane Mixed beverage. It was big and strong.
Oh my! Visited this restaurant in Biloxi, MS the first time 3/15/19 and visited it again Saturday for lunch. Never missed a beat. Waiting staff friendly and all smiles. Fabulous!! Portions are so large, food fresh. Ordered the seafood au gratin appetizer not able to eat it. Too full! The garlic bread soft and crunchy at the same time. The seafood platter large enough for 2 adults. Live music Saturday while we enjoyed lunch. Tea taste freshly brewed. Parking plenty of it. The staff worked fast to make sure your wait was not long. Word of caution bring your appetite!
This hot lady from Florida and I decided on a whim to head to Biloxi for some fun. We were famished when we arrived so we went to Wentzel’s. I ordered up a dozen Oysters Delacroix fo an appetizer. Let me tell you, those were insanely delicious. Oysters topped with Andouille sherry cream, Parmesan and crawfish tails. Almost too decadent. My fine date had blackened snapper with Gulf shrimp and wilted greens. I had to steal a couple of bites and it was amazing. I settled on Eggplant La Rosa. This is a rich dish of eggplant, Gulf shrimp and crabmeat with Swiss and Parmesan. Pretty sure I was working on a heart attack, but at least I’d die happy. She ordered a Bloody Mary, which I had to sample. That Bloody Mary was as good as they get. I ordered a hurricane, which was a little too sweet, but got me buzzed. Both drinks were huge! I’d definitely hit this place up again if I’m ever back in Biloxi.
The food was really good. They were out of grits when we went, but otherwise there were no issues. Our service was great. We had burgers, seafood au gratin, and the gumbo. Everything turned out perfect.
The portions were larger than what you would expect. The servers were all very friendly,helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu options. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal. Will definitely be back. I would recommend the pork Angelina. As hungry as I was I couldn’t finish it.
Service was a bit slow at first but they made up for it. Waitress was friendly and helpful and the food was great. Everyone at our table loved the oysters and our entrees. Would definitely go back.
I was really impressed with the service and the taste of the food. It is truly a New Orleans flavor. I even tried charbroiled oysters for the first time and I'm looking forward to eating it again!!!!
So amazingly good. The service was beyond astounding. And the drinks... Just wow! I strongly recommend the Oysters Rockefeller and the Fried Green Tomatoes. Also, if you have the ability to sit at the bar and be served by Will, you will not be able to leave without a smile on your face!
