I was just taken very good care of at this hospital for a serious cardiac issue. I drove myself to the ER for dizziness and blackouts. I know not a good idea. The ER there was very Accommodating and professional. This ER will be the only one I use in the future .Not an experience I usually get in an ER. From the time I was given a room up until I was wheeled out 4 days latter the staff was on top of everything. All of the doctors I spoke to and every single nurse I came in contact in my opinion went above and beyond. I couldn’t help but tell them that every day. They were amazingly nice and attentive towards me and my stay. The operating room staff and facilities were just as nice and topnotch. All of them were having a good time due to the love of their job while prepping me for my surgery. And this put me at tremendous ease. I almost put an application in because I could tell the hospital decision makers created a working environent that they all appreciated. This will be my second review I have done on those 4 days. Just simply put I will always remember them! ps I am doing 2 more reviews on mail in surveys today about them. We are very lucky to have this hospital in our neighborhood.
My father is currently in the operation room right this moment and I would said that in this moments all Im asking for is to be here at the hospital for anything that can be encounter since he is getting his kidney removed due to cancer and other medical issues. The reason why Im doing poor rating is because the accommodation for my mother and my self had not being the best I ask the volunteers at the main lobby if I could wait with my mother in the upstairs waiting area and they said no because only one person is allowed I have the visitors bracelet because Im bilingual and I have been dealing with everything my dad is going thru since the beginning and my mother does not speaks english but she is worried about my dad as much as I am and I think at this moment all she needs is to be here to confort her knowing everything will be ok with my father I totally understand they have to have restrictions but when we both live at home with him plus we can even bring proof we don’t have covid because for my understanding that why they have the restrictions what harm can we do by waiting at the hospital I was only trying to stay away from a hight traffic area where people are coming in and out we have been at the hospital since early this morning to be exact it was 5:25 am when we arrived to the hospital. Can the hospital volunteers or security be more comprehensive, more humans of knowing how worried we are right now? I mean as Im waiting here on their main lobby there allowing 2 other people into their “restricted areas” so I don’t understand why would they not allow us!!! Other than that I do not have a complaint about the nurses that admitted my dad they were great except the one physician was kind of rude about me translating for my father but understand he has to do what he has to do but he could of been nicer about it I mean no one else seem to be bother when I translated for him.
I thank God for Dr. Ferreira, Tracy & Ashley and the rest of the staff that did such an amazing work with my wife and daughter during labor and delivery. This is the second baby this year at this hospital and it was amazing both times. I highly highly recommend this hospital for labor and delivery.
I took my son to the ER just yesterday. I had already planned on being there a while considering I know how busy the hospitals have been since the closing of other hospitals in the area. The nurses were so nice and caring, the lady at the front door was super helpful as well. My problem was the PA Dr. I took my son there b/c he was complaining his stomach hurts and was having a lot of pain. When we finally got back to a room the PA Dr told me I should not of brought him to the ER. He said I should of taken him to my family doctor or at best Urgent Care. Seriously?! I asked him if he was going to give my son any scans? He said no, he doesn't need them and they would give him cancer. I can not tell you how upset and irritated I was over this. It's a ER, they should provide as much help as they can. The PA also told me that if I can't get a hold of my family doctor that I should do them a favor and find a new doctor office. I mean, who says that ? Seriously disappointed in this hospital
The Hospital ER is horrible. My husband recently visited with severe dehydration. While he was there waiting hours on end to be seen he ended up having a blood sugar emergency his sugar started getting very low and he had nothing to treat it with.He informed one of the women working the desk she rudely told him not to worry about it and did nothing. Luckily I get notifications on my phone of his sugar dropping so I had to call and demand they give him something. They finally brought him some crackers and juice. The nurse that brought them basically threw them at him and walked away he was shaking so badly he could not even open the crackers another patient had to come to help him. This is completely unacceptable to treat patients like this it has nothing to do with pandemic or local hospital closures it has to do with incompetent, ignorant women who don’t belong working in an ER maybe the hospital should take advantage of the local hospital closures by hiring on some of there affected employees and get rid of the awful people!
If I could give zero stars I would. Rude nurses, they don’t listen, they’ll argue with the pt. My father has Parkinson’s, they swabbed him when he DIDN’T HAVE ANY symptoms of covid without his consent. He just needed Parkinson’s medication. The nurse or whoever this woman was had the audacity to look at my father and ask “are you the doctor?” I find that so interesting because the doctor who was supposed to be assigned to his room WASN’T EVEN IN. We got stuck with these sarcastic, argumentative nurses. Just because you went to nursing school does not mean it’s synonymous with having common sense as we very clearly saw. I advise anyone and everyone to not use this facility. If you work in a hospital, you should probably learn to have bedside manner and grace. This hospital lacks both. Please go elsewhere.
The ER experience at this hospital leaves a LOT to be desired, like being able to accompany your loved one while they wait in the waiting room. Like not having to deal with rude security guards at the front door that make you feel like your going through the airport security line. Like not having to wait 4-5 hours to be able to go home. I understand they are overwhelmed because of the closure of Brandywine and Jennersville hospitals, but there’s got to be a better way!
Highly disappointed with the direction in which this hospital has gone. I was forced to sit outside the ER while experiencing dizziness and having chest pain with episodes of shortness of breath. I am unable to wear face covering because of a medical condition. Despite informing them also well documented the nurse became rude and dismissive. The security guard was even worse. Particularly when this is the closest hospital to me 45 minutes away and hospitals closing…maybe you shouldn’t hold on to some mask policy when the damn things don’t help anyway. Do better!
Worst experience at a hospital ever. My mom has severe GI and heart issues and waited 5 hours to get into a bed. They forgot to take her second cardiac enzyme test after her EKG had an abnormal scan. When she asked them to take out IV, they remembered she existed and looked over her charts and realized she needed to be taken back right then and there. Nurse seemed clueless, tech came in to take 2nd EKG, admitting nurse didn’t know what she was doing. Then told it could be a few more hours until we saw a doctor. My mom has traveled all over the US for her job, and has been to many hospitals due to her conditions, pre and post COVID, and this hospital is the absolute worst. Receptionists, nurses, and techs are very rude. I get it’s 3am but maybe be a little nicer to the sick people, and figure out a better method for seeing patients, so they’re not waiting 5+ hours in pain to see a doctor. Many people have walked out, so sad to see. Doctor didn’t care to see my mom or even try to help her get seen by a GI specialist. Since it’s basically impossible to get seen till 2023. She was in so much pain, but would rather be home then deal with a hospital that didn’t seem to care about her. Told her she would have to sign an AMA, never received any documents to sign, took her IV out and told her to leave.
This place is a joke. Was rudely turned away from my appointment for being late I completely understand the importance of punctuality However, I have two younger siblings I look after who I was trying to get off to their summer programs before my appointment for which I then drove an hour to get to. Apparently, if you do not arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, they will not have time to see you. Regardless of the disclaimer in their waiting room that states "appointments may be taken out of the order in which they arrive." As a Healthcare facility" I suggest having a little more compassion and understanding for your customers I mean patients.
