It's a standard two level subway station, serving both Express and local trains. You can easily connect to the A, C, E, F, M, -D lines downstairs. The station has an elevator and some news stands with and snack’s , drinks…
The only good thing about this NEW York City MTA subway station is that it is a multi-floored and has a lot of lines to choose from, such as the A, B, C, D, E, F, and M trains. Some of the many cons are that there are a lot of homeless people, a lack of the timetables, there are rats, and the station is very dirty and smells like pee. Overall, this station Is not the worst station but should be more safe and sanitary.
Lots of trash. Homeless people. Seems to be pet friendly. Station smells awful. Hold your kids hand at this station. Wheel chair accessible.
Complete network dead zone, sometimes your service on the phone works, sometimes it doesn’t, but almost always you’re unable to verify your location through GPS, definitely suggest staying at street level and verifying your route before entering, or suggest stopping at another station for a transfer.
There are multiple entrances to this station, there are 3 entrances at Waverly Place/6th Avenue, and another one at 3rd Street/6th Avenue. I entered from Waverly Place and 6th Avenue, and just by the entrance, I could feel the warmth and humidity of the station. There was also some weird water spewing onto the tracks on the Downtown and Brooklyn F/M train platform. This station is barely light up, compared to other stations in NYC. Remember: The A/C/E trains stop on the upper level, while the B/D/F/M stop on the lower level. And be sure to listen to announcements, or read the signs, as this station is notorious for trains rerouting and/or used as a terminal if there are problems on either the 6th or 8th Avenue lines.
It's a mta subway station so yeah it does smell like piss and filled with bums at night. Watch out for the rats though...
A,E,C,D,B and F trains stop here. Huge station. Has elevator , it has a escalator as well. The subway is always hot. Pretty clean. Seem to have some people to entertainment the passenger always with their talent. This subways has two mini store.
The whole city passes thru here very busy very crazy watch your back famous basket ball park outside
Great station except the rampant amount of beggars in the area. Most of which may try to follow you until you give them something. Do not give them anything, thats another entity thats supposed to be in charge of that. The beggars just ignore them and if you feel unsafe call 911. Lastly lets all ban together and report the beggar issue to the local nypd precincts so they are well aware of the issue at hand.
Clean subway station with easy access to the F,A,D,M, C and E trains.
