A few words on our policy.
We respect our posters opinions and expect others to as well. This is a family friendly friendly forum, so please keep your comments and wall posts clean. In addition to keeping it family friendly, we ask that you follow our posting guidelines here. If you don't comply, your message will be removed:
-We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit or racial comments or submissions nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization.
-We do not allow solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency. Similarly, we do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
-We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
-You participate at your own risk, taking personal responsibility for your comments, your username and any information provided.
Also, the appearance of external links on this site does not constitute official endorsement on behalf of the West Point Museum, United States Military Academy, U.S. Army or Department of Defense.
When Visiting the Museum
Effective Immediately:
All bags and large items brought by visitors into the West Point Museum may be subject to search by DOD personnel.
Backpacks, briefcases, coolers, luggage, and over-sized totes are NOT permitted inside the Museum.
Bags cannot exceed 12" x 6" x12" in size.
Clear plastic bags, small purses, cinch bags, camera bags, ARE permitted inside the Museum, but will be subject to search.
Food and Drink are NOT permitted in the Museum.
Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items.
Bags which are permitted are subject to search. The guard inspecting the package will use a stick to probe the package. If necessary, the visitors may be requested to remove items from the bag for further inspection.
No provision will be provided by the Museum for storage of personal items. Museum personnel will not be held liable for items abandoned within the Museum building or within a 50 foot perimeter of the exterior.
