I recently had the pleasure of staying at West Sonoma Inn and I must say, it was an absolutely incredible experience. I was impressed by the updated rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, with comfortable beds and all the amenities. Walking distance to the city was so convenient. But the true highlight of my stay at West Sonoma Inn and Resort was the excellent service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure that I had a truly memorable vacation. I would highly recommend West Sonoma Inn and Resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway but still close to all activities of the city. Kevin Masson
I’m always hesitant to rave about hidden gems because I’ll have to pay the price in the future. Literally. I stayed here while my son was camping nearby so I was looking for a place with value and extras. When entering the lobby and spa area I was pleasantly surprised by the modern, fresh look. Very different from the outside. The owner was very friendly and I learned how much the Inn had to overcome over the past 3 years with local fires, COVID and flooding which damaged much of the property. I booked a massage and got a great treatment from Jyoti. She had some techniques I’ve never experienced before and her attention to loosening my knots and tightness without me needing to mention anything showed her experience. The room was newly renovated and spacious. The faucet of the 2nd sink in rm 112 needs some attention. The property sits on the edge of town beside a winery so it was quiet and scenic. There was a swimming pool that was warm enough to swim in 65 degree weather but didn’t have lights so a night swim wasn’t an option. The location of the inn was walking distance to many great restaurants and Safeway across the street. The property is continually undergoing renovations in stages and I hope to be back soon to see renovations to the pool.
No! I had a trade agreement with the owner Naveed, and he broke it. He would not make it right. He knew the day before that he would break it but did not tell me. Instead, he let me give my professional services to his wife, only telling me after that he could not keep his part of the agreement! Out of integrity! Do not trust! Get any agreement in writing. The massage was in a cold room and the masseuse rushed me from the start. She did not take it upon herself to make sure the room was warm. Despite some warm towels, any oil on the skin with cold air in a cold room is not relaxing! Bath hardware was missing. Bath cans in strange places. Mostly absentee staff. The one pleasant highlight was Wendy at the front desk! I hope for her that she finds an employer with integrity since she deserves it!
Beautiful grounds, rooms have been newly renovated. Pool was dirty. Got locked out of our room once and couldn't reach anyone at the front desk to let us back in. There is a black phone by the front desk and they say to call if you have an emergency if no one is there, but no one answered. Luckily found a housekeeping staff member who took pity on us. Didn't experience the spa. Overall it was good. Would probably have rated it a four if we didn't get locked our without being able to reach anyone.
Rooms very clean, great location. Asked for a king bed got a queen. No wine tasting, no heated pool which is why we choose the place as stated on website. We were told to expensive to heat. Was not going to write this review until I saw that my credit card overcharged. The owner is a sweet guy who does not understand what customer service is. It's a shame because this place could be a goldmine with the right management.
Great spot, right in downtown Guerneville but just at perfect spot on edge of town so very peaceful and quiet. Short walk to bars and restaurants. River beach is close, and drive to coast at Jenner is just 39 minutes, and many other interesting locations to visit within short drive. Great place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
Experience with this motel was terrible. They canceled my booking because I confirmed that I was bringing my service dog. They stated to me that the room I was staying in wasn't dog friendly even though there was nothing in their policy or on the booking that the room I booked wasn't dog-friendly. When they tried to up charge me $200 to stay in a dog-friendly room, and I pushed back, they then layered on 'well its actually a 3 night minimum' so we aren't going to honor your booking. In my first conversation, no one mentioned the three night stay. It was clearly just a play because I wasn't going to change rooms and pay the $200. Would stay away from this shady establishment
Please don’t book this hotel if you are BIPOC, and I was refused my accommodation for the first 45 min of checking in. I attempted multiple methods of communication between the agency myself, and the establishment and was told repeatedly that my credit card number could not look up the total. Lastly, I was asked to show multiple forms of ID. The only saving grace at this horrendous establishment was that my credit card number looked up at the tail end of the confrontation; however, the man at the front Dess still did not believe that I owned the card and asked me to reveal the whole credit card number. This hotel is an absolute disgrace.
The room and property were nice. We booked a room at almost 500 a night and the web site said we would have a plunge pool on our balcony, it did not. Also, the dual shower was missing the lever for the second shower. I told this to the person working the desk, they said their web site is under maintanence and someone would call me. Didn't happen.
We just completed a two night stay at your property and I would have to say we were extremely disappointed with the experience. We had a number of issues with the room and service. Here they are listed below: 1. No towel bars or hooks to hang wet towels. 2. No shelf in the shower to put soap and shampoo on. Had to use the floor. 3. Second shower head has no handle. 4. Furniture still has labels on them. 5. WiFi is basically useless. It didn’t really work all weekend, and there’s very little phone signal here. I complained about it once, the desk attendant said he’d call the provider. Nothing changed and there was no follow up a. That’s just not acceptable. 6. The Saturday night 9/4 desk person a man had mask down and loose fitting. Kept falling down when he spoke. I had to remind him several times to pull his mask up. This is not In compliance with CDC safety guidelines. 7. Housekeeping left dirty coffee cups in the sink. 8. Half of the outlets in the room are not working. 9. The coffee cup is the wrong size for the coffee maker. When you fill the coffee up to it’s normal level and pour it into the coffee maker, it overflows the coffee maker. 10. Housekeeping did not leave clean towels. 11. The bed is too high off the ground for comfortable access. The platform is designed to hold a mattress only, and you have a mattress and box spring. It’s hard to get in and out without literally jumping. While we are in great shape, this would not be good for someone with limited mobility. 12. There is a nice living room area with room for a TV on the wall, but the TV is tucked oddly far away into a corner where it is only viewable from the bed. The whole experience was largely off. From the poorly designed room to the unacceptable service. I feel as if we have overpaid greatly at $425/night and am not happy about that at all. Upon checkout the person at the desk did not ask about our stay she knew we were not happy since we’d given feedback prior, so it’s like they don’t care or want the feedback. She just curtly said “I’ll send you your bill” and to date 3 weeks later I have not received it. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau. They have no business running a hotel or dealing with other humans.
