Extremely friendly!!! Helped me out because I had my wallet stolen and i lost my card and money. I had to print my insurance card for my appt so no charge and no wait!! Thank you!!!
Today, I visited this library and for nearly an hour and a half, children were yelling, using profanity, unattended or even reprimanded by any parental or caregiver to sit down instead of jump on things or run around. I could not get any work done. A library employee tried to corral the children gently to be mindful but soon gave up. I decided to leave and let the desk clerk know I will not be returning to the branch ever again. He said he knows that the children were misbehaving but its "summertime." This is no excuse. There are playgrounds for this behavior and for children to let off steam and play. The caregiver needs to take them to one of said playgrounds if those children are not apt to behave in an indoor setting for the public to be respectful of eachother. People are trying to get work done and honestly..it isn't the librarians job to mind your children either. Instead of good patrons leaving irregardless of season, they should have the 3 strikes your out rule imposed. Such a shame. When we were kids, we listened to our elders and we knew the meaning of inside voices.
This is a quiet little place to take a break from the world.
The only thing bad I have to say about this library is that there are too many "troubled" kids that spend their leisure time loitering around outside and sometimes inside. They are disrespectful, mouthy, and sometimes physically violent. I've been spit on, called names, and have had my life threatened! I've seen young boys age 5-10 pulling their private parts out, cussing at adults and calling them obscene names, making threats, and throwing things at cars passing by! I've had parts of my bicycle stolen and I even saw one kid kick my bike when they realized it was locked up and they couldn't steal it! Local Parents really need to start paying attention to how horrible their babies are behaving when not in their supervision! I hope somebody would notify me if mine ever acted this way! Matter of fact I'm going to start posting their faces publicly along with their behaviors I witness! How embarrassing it would be if I ever found out it was my child! A good old fashioned spanking would definitely be in the line-up for my babies!!!!
Always get what I need,in and out. Lot's of people do not know that you can get $1.50 per day for copies. Wonderful acid for the community.
I love the West Toledo branch. Especially since the last remodel and I received a book today that I just ordered 2 days ago!!!
Although it is a small library, it is cozy and close to home. There is an ample number of computers for online access, as well as community activities, such as free lunch for children daily.
Absolutely beautiful library! From outside to inside the place blew me away with how beautiful it is. I have travelled throughout Europe when I was in high school and in the Army and this library has early gothic era monastery influences. It blends that old world beauty with an up to date feel with all the technology it offers. Table top touch screen devices to more computer stations than most libraries I've seen anywhere. The kids area isn't completely closed off from the main area but feels like its own space. The sculpture and artwork is amazing and engaging. I had a hard time not walking around taking it all in. The staff is very generous with explaining the building and its history. The basement offers more meeting rooms than most too. I now have a new favorite library and will go out of my way to come here. Outstanding! This library should rank in the top 10 of the country, in my opinion.
The library is going above and beyond to make sure they are keeping people safe.
Extremely helpful printing my pdf files for me and right now at no cost. Libraries are awesome I wish more people would use them to educate themselves. Also had food to feed the hungry children.
