I made a visit to the library just to get an overall view of what was available. As far as libraries go it had all that would be expected from a public library. I felt parking was adequate -my visit was just before lunch on a week day. There is park space to the East and North of the library with a fairly large numbers of picnic tables and large spaces of green grass. Yes there were homeless but I did not have an issue with the homeless actually no interaction at all. Library was a good choice I felt. Park, maybe for a short visit?
There is parking for owners of electric vehicles near the library. The two EVOcharge stations provide free charging. Attention: These slots are next to the handicapped parking. Users occasionally exhibited anger issues. The LAPL branches in Playa Vista and Westchester are quite close to each other. They both have their own merits with the Westchester Library offering locked restrooms as compared to Playa Vista offering easily accessible restrooms. Parking is comparable. However, Playa Vista’s branch does not seem to have chargers for electric vehicles. The surroundings in Westchester offer more industrial views whereas the neighborhood of the Playa Vistas library is dominated by luxury apartment buildings and an Elementary School. WiFi signal seems to be stronger at the Westchester branch as compared to the Playa Vista branch.
Awesome facility with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite places on the west side.
I love the Los Angeles public library. The librarians are helpful you can get pretty much any book, CD, audiobook, DVD, etc. that you want. The online system rocks.
For the most part, it's a nice and quiet place to visit. The staff is professional and friendly. However, it can get a little weird occasionally. But overall, it a nice place.
The libray is loud and hard to concintrate in the teen zone the kids are using bad language inaproate things eat make a mess if you like peace and quiet do not come to this libray. It is nice to come on Saturday but Monday 2 Friday it is just cayos they dont do work the only reason they come is to hang out with their friends drink soda and eat junk food. My kids are very anoyed. Thank u for reading
helpful & nice employees & is clean inside
This is a great local library; it's located right next to a big park with a playground, fields, skate park, basketball hoops, tennis courts. There's so many people in the community who come by, I love having an LAPL library so close and so friendly.
I've been going there for years. It's set up really well for computers and laptop people. And it's medium big. Nice librarians.
Quiet, nice staff. You can borrow online using your library card + apps like Kindle, Nook, Hoopla.
