Why are the adults prevented from reading in any of the areas that have natural light at this library? The left and right sides are reserved for non-adults. The back row of reading nooks are blocked. See pictures. Consequently, adults only get to sit at places with artificial light. It makes me sad. Older reviews Update: charging of eV seems no longer be free The LAPL branches in Playa Vista and Westchester are quite close to each other. They both have their own merits. Parking is comparable. However, Playa Vista’s branch does not seem to have chargers for electric vehicles. The surroundings in Westchester offer more industrial views whereas the neighborhood of the Playa Vistas library is dominated by luxury apartment buildings and an Elementary School. WiFi signal seems to be stronger at the Westchester branch as compared to the Playa Vista branch.
Not a good library. I do not recommend this because I see some suspicious activity. My dad died/was murdered and I think they are involved in this as I get stalked here and online. That is NOT okay.
the worst library, they never help anything, they don't allow anything, all the employees go sullen and dissatisfied with life, it's unpleasant to be there
I made a visit to the library just to get an overall view of what was available. As far as libraries go it had all that would be expected from a public library. I felt parking was adequate -my visit was just before lunch on a week day. There is park space to the East and North of the library with a fairly large numbers of picnic tables and large spaces of green grass. Yes there were homeless but I did not have an issue with the homeless actually no interaction at all. Library was a good choice I felt. Park, maybe for a short visit?
Awesome facility with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite places on the west side. Cindy, the children's librarian, deserves a special shout-out!
I love the Los Angeles public library. The librarians are helpful you can get pretty much any book, CD, audiobook, DVD, etc. that you want. The online system rocks.
The libray is loud and hard to concintrate in the teen zone the kids are using bad language inaproate things eat make a mess if you like peace and quiet do not come to this libray. It is nice to come on Saturday but Monday 2 Friday it is just cayos they dont do work the only reason they come is to hang out with their friends drink soda and eat junk food. My kids are very anoyed. Thank u for reading
For the most part, it's a nice and quiet place to visit. The staff is professional and friendly. However, it can get a little weird occasionally. But overall, it a nice place.
This is a great local library; it's located right next to a big park with a playground, fields, skate park, basketball hoops, tennis courts. There's so many people in the community who come by, I love having an LAPL library so close and so friendly.
I've been going there for years. It's set up really well for computers and laptop people. And it's medium big. Nice librarians.
