Having used Dogtor Slaton as our rescue troubleshooting veterinarian for many years, it is WONDERFUL that his new office is in Thousand Oaks, local to so many of our adopted hounds and worth the drive for excellent care! Finally found a vet and office I can trust and not be told I need to wait a couple days to see a vet or pay extra fees for emergency visit. Caring compassionate and affordable.

Dr. Slaton is a conscientious and caring veterinarian. Due to my proximity to Dr. Slaton he wasn’t Piper’s primary vet until recently, however, I have known Dr. Slaton for years and he has been a sounding board for Piper’s care throughout her life.  About a month ago Piper was grossly misdiagnosed with cancer by her former vet. I brokenheartedly called Dr. Slaton to share the news and he advised some alternative testing and made arrangements for Piper to be seen right away. Lo and behold, it wasn’t cancer but instead was a very treatable and non-life threatening condition. Additionally, when he saw her he also noticed an infected cracked tooth which was completely missed by her former vet just a couple days prior. Needless to say, while Dr. Slaton isn’t the vet around the corner from where we live, he is absolutely worth the drive. Knowing that Piper is in his care provides me with a sense of complete confidence. I am so excited he is opening his own practice!

Slaton Veterinarian Hospital is now open! Today was the first day Dr. Slaton and his wife Carolyne started taking patients at their new location.  #westlakevillageliving
