Therapy is really good here, but beware of your billing. Make sure they are billing your correct insurance company. Do not take there word follow up . I don’t want to see anyone else get taken advantage of in there most venerable time of healing..
Physical therapy and occupational therapy people were great some of the nurses were wonderful and some of the CNAs as well. But they're in the middle of a changeover of some sort as far as management and perhaps even the entire business. I just know that they messed up my appointments and my opportunity to get a hip replacement, I was very upset with them. They didn't just mess it up one time they messed it up five times and so now I'm having a lot of problems anyway this is going on too long but their communication and organizational skills are very poor.
Great place to work as a Nurse and I'd even recommend for families to consider this rehab facility for their loved ones. Nursing staff is amazing and Physical Therapy staff is absolutely amazing.
After a rough start, the Administrator came to me, listened whole heartedly to my issues and corrected them immediately. He left his card and told me I could contact him directly if I had any other issues. Despite the one person that caused all my issues, the entire rest of the staff has treated me like I was their family member, very gentle, kind and caring. He has assured me that person will no longer be part of my care and has been disciplined. The facility itself is beautiful and the bed is way more comfortable than the one in the hospital. I have an awesome view from my room. The food is incredible. This is definitely the place you want to be for rehabilitation. After 7 day quarantine due to Covid, the visiting policy is very liberal for two people I can’t wait to visit the grounds.
I absolutely love working here! This is one of the best facilities I have ever worked at. I really enjoy helping the residents that visit our location, and seeing them progress to going home is AMAZING!! Thank you Westminster Baldwin Park for making this an enjoyable workplace!
Sent my 86 year old mom to this facility after be hospitalized for almost 1 month so they can get her strength up so she can come home. Very disappointed with the staffing. 1 nurse for 18 patients was told by a nurse Nurses are overwhelmed. Nurse did not check my mom knowing her stomach was swollen. Was retaining fluid. 1 cna mostly temps from an agency No Doctor nor Nurse Practitioner at facility at all times. Nurse Practitioner only comes in 2-3 times a week. If you try to call love ones after hours good luck no one answers the phones If you are lucky to speak with someone and ask to call back, expect no call back. I try to call director of the facility and left voicemail for her to call me back. No call back. When the paramedics arrived to take my mom back to the hospital her Blood sugar was at 261. If diabetic don’t expect them to give you insulin unless it’s 199 or over again was told by a nurse at the hospital if her blood sugar is over 150 they give you insulin. My mother is 86 years old! I am her advocate and her daughter. If you or someone you know are thinking of sending a love one to a facility, bring a journal and make sure you write everything down like I did. I will be filing a complaint with the state. I hope that your loved one gets the care that they deserve! No one should have to suffer in a facility that’s supposed to get them better. All that glitters is not always gold!! Good luck!
I was admitted post op colostomy. I had a mucocutaneous separation and unfortunately the nursing staff did not know how to treat it. Because of their ignorance of post-op colostomy care the sore got worse. I became dehydrated and had to be readmitted to the hospital. I found all staff to be pleasant and caring. The food was good but I couldn't eat. The decor was beautiful. The really bright spot was the Physical Therapy department. They made sure that I was in good condition to walk and take care of myself once I went home.
My step father went into the rehab center to recover from a pressure wound and left in an ambulance. We dropped clothing off and he was never dressed and they lost his clothes. He was taken to his doctor's appointment in a hospital gown and a sheet over his legs. His hair was done by someone who had never worked with him before. He also did crossword puzzles daily and read daily, we dropped some off and they were never given to him. His phone was across the room so no one could get a hold of him. My step father passed away 2 days later.
Westminster Baldwin Park one of the nicest rehab centers in central Florida.
A beautiful facility that is nestled in an area full of life. A beautiful Park full of people jogging and playing with her children. It's nice to have an a facility dedicated to the senior generation & their Care and Rehabilitation close to young people.
