Still my favorite mall out of all the malls in the Pittsburgh area. Elegant and modern interior. Clean and well-decorated the huge Christmas tree is beautiful during the holidays. The layout is spacious yet simple and easy to follow and includes a center court with four wings, and one lower and upper level. A nice food court, multiple escalators and an elevator. Good assortment of various stores. There's just a warm and alive feel to it you don't find at other malls. I hope this place stays for a very long time.
I spent a great chunk of my childhood at this mall. At that time I would have rated it a . When I hit about 19 I put that silliness aside and didn't visit the mall for years. Definitely a one then. Recently I've been visiting more often to shop and every once in a great while to go to the casino and it's a pretty spiffy place.
I've been going to the mall ever since I was a kid. Even though it's changed over the years, it's still a pretty nice mall. The parking is ample but only if you don't care which side you enter from. If you want to park by the food court, don't expect a close spot. Restrooms and escalators are usually in working order and acceptably clean. If you include the stuff behind the mall, there's plenty of stores to choose from. I was sad to see kitchen collection go out of business, as there are no other kitchen specialty stores. They do have Santa and the Christmas train at Christmas time. The food court is okay if you don't have any food restrictions, otherwise it's pretty basic, Subway, pizza, pretzels, maybe a Chinese place, and Panera.
Re: The Daily Thread store. Prices great, most items high quality. However, was disappointed that I could not return 2 items with receipt bought last week. When purchased I was told I had until January 13 to return. Incompetent cashier would not honor this promise so I'm not going back.
Gorgeous, gorgeous time capsule of a mall As the art deco revival interior approaches 30 years of age, I feel the need to write this review to voice my appreciation for all who are involved in maintaining and preserving this mall. Even if we didn't have a certain Netflix series driving the latest nostalgia craze, it's still nice to walk into a place like this and be reminded of simpler times
This mall is not like most malls. Most are sad and dying but not the Westmoreland mall. This mall is full of life and stores. The food court is full of many restaurants and the Live Casino helps continue to bring people in. The flooring was kept nice and clean and so was the restrooms. I enjoyed my time there and so did the rest of my family. My wife wants to go and buy more custom hoodies and my daughter wants to go and get more food lol I will definitely be going back.
Still my go-to. I love actually seeing the clothes and trying them on before I buy. These malls are the last of a dying breed. I hope im wrong, but everything is bought online and delivered straight to your house. It's hard to compete with. Like I said to me, nothing compares to actually seeing the clothes and other items before buying them.
It's getting better, slowly stores are returning to the mall. It's still not where it used to be & I definitely only run in and BOLT back out but it's nice to see stores taking up all of those previously empty spaces.
They've done a good job trying to keep mall shopping modern and convenient and it's a nice one stop shop. A decent amount of variety.
My daughter and I took my grandkids to see Santa today and ride the train! They had a wonderful time, Santa was great, warm and friendly. The train ride was simply awesome they both loved it. This is the first year they are both old enough to ride by themselves. The Mall was decorated very nicely and festive and the kids were just amazed at everything. We all had a great time.
