I called today to figure out how to change the address on a package today and the postal hours start at 8:30 so I waited a little bit knowing what it’s like working at a morning shift thinking maybe they might need a few extra minutes. I called 8 times and was hung up on or something because every time I would hear a ding and then the call failed. So I called another number that is not attached to this company he’s the one who told me to call this number because he was unfortunately not in my area. He politely got all my information and emailed this USPS and said to call me back. Hours later it’s 12:13 at this point I called them and got this very rude lady who instead of helping me when I mentioned their should’ve been an email sent to them and my package when to the wrong address. She snaps back that they didn’t get anything and they couldn’t do that. The man from the other number guaranteed that they could help me and it would be all figure out I try talking about my package again saying how it went to the wrong address and I needed it changed. Not wanting to argue with this lady I politely ask “can I speak to someone else” and she hangs up on me. Frustrated by needing my Christmas gifts to my family I call again and get that lady again! Immediately I ask for someone else higher up, I get sent to another lady not sure if she was higher up but she did help me even though we had some communication errors so I mean no bad words on the second lady. But to hang up on me when I need help is not ok. If it wasn’t the only place that would be in the area of my college I would never use it again but unfortunately it is my only option. To say I’m unsatisfied with her professionalism is to say the least.
It is actually no star. I experienced the worst postal office service this morning around 9:50am today. The officer, she did not want to even talk to me when I asked he politely about what kind of envelop best to be mail to dept of revenue. And later when I go grab return receipt document I saw my envelop has already threw to the floor. She came out from the office to get it and bang on the door really hard. I can’t really handle that type of behavior. I have to leave without get my service done. Was living in Denver for 8 years I have never experience this type of rudeness at the post office.
Second time coming in this week to drop off packages and had to go to Union Station instead. Monday, the office was closed due to staffing issues. The drop box for my prepaid parcel had packages lodged inside which were easily accessible to the open public - assuming the “catch bin” was full. Today, around 1:30 I came in to scan and drop off a package. There were 10 people in line who had been there for an extended period of time advising the clerk went in the back for something but hadn’t come back in over 5 minutes. They shared that there was a loud crash as if something had fallen. Someone in line hollered to the back “is everything okay” as the entire line was worried something had fallen on the clerk whom was completely unresponsive. Last week my first time using this post office I brought my prepaid parcel inside to have scanned accepted as the item I was shipping was over $400 in value - I was not greeted by the clerk who was just sitting in her chair so as I stood there, I politely asked if she could scan my package into the system - her response was aggressive and disrespectful - like I was putting her out or bothering her in some way. So, I kindly said “I’m so sorry.” She grabbed my package from my hands, slammed it down on the counter, scanned it and handed me a receipt. I thanked her and she yelled “next in line” - this is unacceptable as this is representation of our government. This post office needs a serious overhaul. Until then, I will have to travel 15 minutes out of my way instead of being able to access my neighborhood post office.
Would give 0 stars if I could. Had a package suppose to arrive 2 days ago on the tracking it claimed “no access to delivery location” tho I live in an apartment loft with a buzzer on the door and instructions posted for postal service to access. No one called me all day to be let in and they said they came by at 5:17 though it didn’t show up on the tracking until 9. I’ve tried to call the office during regular business hours three times now and have them hang up in my face. CLOSE THEM DOWN. Please let a competent USPS handle this region. Unacceptable.
Horrible staff!!! I completely understand that they are busy and have a lot to deal with. They could be having a bad day. But if you choose to work in customer service, then you have to put that behind you. The particular woman that was "helping" me had such a disgusting attitude, and all I asked was a simple question regarding the address of my package. Do better
Don't waste your time. I tried four times to use this location during posted hours, on different days and at different times. Twice, the lights were on but the doors were locked. Once, it was open but not allowing additional customers inside because the workers decided to go to lunch at 11 a.m. The fourth time, they'd added a hand-written sign saying "Cash Only." Surprise! USPS should close this location, as it's essentially no longer operating as a either a business or a public service.
Update 5/26/23: I arrived at 4:43, and there was a sign on the door that said “will return at 4:45.” There were five people ahead of me waiting, and one of them said he had been there since 4 o’clock. One more person got in line behind me; and then at 4:49, a post office employee peeked out and told us all that they were closed. Seven disgruntled potential customers left. I swear, every single time I try to give this post office a chance… If you want reliable, definitely go to another post office… Pretty much ANY other post office! —— When your posted hours say you close at 5:00, that means you close at 5. Don’t be turning people away before 5:00. People drive all the way there depending on you being open when it says you will be. Shame on you! This place almost always has the longest lines for a Post Office, as well. They never have enough people working behind the desk, despite the available cash registers.
Make sure you get there before 4pm because they close whenever they like. Every day it’s between 30 minutes to an hour an hour early. Be prepared to wait in line 20-30 minutes as well because they’ve been short staffed for the entire 4 years I’ve lived near this one. Make the trip to the location near KU med and avoid this one if you can.
This is thee worst Post Office I've ever mostly-attempted to use. They're almost always closed due to "staffing". Traitorous Postmaster General DeJoy should've been removed long ago.
I recently moved to Westport in January. I was told to come to to the post office to get my mailbox key. When I arrived they told me it would take months to get a key and that all my mail would be delivered to the post office for me to pick up. This made me highly anxious as I have many important things that I am expecting. It’s March now and I still do not have a key for my mailbox. I get informed delivery and know what mail comes. When I went to pick up my mail today the lady was SO AGITATED. She went to check for my mail and said I had nothing. Keep in my mind I have not checked my mail for a few weeks at this point. But now I have an important document that should be in there. I told her that can’t be possible. I should have a few weeks worth of mail in there. She huffed and said I guess I could check it again. She checked and found my mail, she said it was buried which really escalated my anxiety. So when I walked out I also noticed she gave me other peoples mail from a different address. So now I’m wondering if they are giving the wrong mail to people. This is very upsetting and chaotic. It shouldn’t take MONTHS to get a simple mailbox key. Outsource it to someone or something.
