Usually my doctor listens to me and takes my ideas into consideration. I have been having hypertension, and I asked to be put on a medication to treat it. My doctor took my blood pressure, it was high. My doctor stated “your blood pressure is normal right now there is no need to put you on a medication”. When I looked back at my visit closer I saw that my blood pressure was high. My doctor didn’t tell me what the pressure was just that it was “normal”. I work in medicine so I thought that my doctor would continue to listen to my concerns. I actually found a new doctor who listens to me, and doesn’t take advantage of me. I had to pay for a doctor to tell me “you don’t have high blood pressure” even though I know from my pressure readings, my blood pressure had been high for months. I’m not sure if my doctor didn’t look back at my pressures or genuinely didn’t care. I’m very saddened by my experience there, I really loved my doctor, but I care more for my health than my relationship with my doctor.
The doctor I had was usually great but it is completely outweighed by the office staff. I'm not sure what is going on here but these people have some sort of power trip they are on and if the patient suffers in the meantime they couldn't care less. You will wait in the lobby for like 15 minutes before checking in while they sit around socializing and you can hear the phone ringing constantly with no one answering it. How anyone is still employed doing as little as they do is just baffling.
Call to change an appointment so I can get my grandson's physical done. After a few minutes, told he can't get physical right now, so tell the nurse I will keep appointment tomorrow. Grant you we have been talking for less than 10 minutes - she tells me the appointment tomorrow is not available. WTH.... I really cannot stand it.
The only thing good about this place is the PA Samara Bucks!!!! It’s sad to say my primary doctor could care less about my health. I went in for back pain hoping for some answers, and my doctor rubbed my back for a few seconds then prescribed me a form of arthritis medicine and some muscle relaxers when all I wanted to know was why!!!! He didn’t think about an X-ray, he didn’t even look at my actual bump that I mentioned, he felt it through my shirt and said it “MAY” be a cyst. Out of the few doctors I’ve had in my life this one by far is the WORST and I’ve had it with him I’ll be leaving after today.....
I've been confirmed with mrsa from ER on 25th and have been trying to be seen by my doctor for almost two weeks.. Was told to follow up after 2 days. I tried to contact and was only able to been saw on JAN. 2!. I Called back said it hasn't gotten better and they my meds are making me puke... Prescribed me more meds over the phone without even checking my infection out and seems to be worsening. I am going to try again today. I need to be seen and I feel I need to find a new doctor if I cannot be seen today.
I usually love my doctor but they had me see someone else after a recent hospital stay because he was unavailable for awhile. I was seriously injured in my accident and had spent a month in the hospital and Mary free bed learning how to walk again. I was told to contact my primary doctor after I got home to get a refill on my pain meds before going to a pain clinic. This doctor took one look at me and told me I was already addicted to the pain meds so she wouldn't give me anymore. Then she proceeded to tell me "you'll always be in pain i can't help you there" i was in so much pain the following days all i could do was scream in pain. One of my neighbors actually called the cops and they came to make sure someone wasn't hurting me. As I type this I am still fighting with them to give me the script I need in order to go to the pain clinic.
I called on 10/17 to set up an appointment about my hips. I pressed 0 to speak with someone. She wasn’t friendly and told me to follow the prompts next time. But this time she’ll help me. Those prompts aren’t easy. And the fact the lady seemed to not wanna help made me upset. I’m the patient. I need help.
I have been going to Westshore Family Medicine for over 25 years. They have always been attentive to my concerns and they listen to me. The Dr and PA’s always gives me options on what direction my care can be. On occasion I have had to wait for 15 minutes in the waiting room but that is the exception and not the rule.
Although the physicians and PAs are very good, some of the front office staff are rude, and unhelpful. Honestly they act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to get treated. Edit* They seemed to have improved over the last 6 months, definitely more positive experience.
I am new to the area and was looking high and low for a PCP. I wanted someone who would spend actual time with me and not make me feel rushed. I saw Dr. Wass and he was very thorough and respectful to my many questions. I have quite a bit of anxiety going to the doctors office and he and his staff made me feel comfortable. Thank you for the time and good service.
