Today I rode the trail from the dam side to West St. School. This route follows the river pretty close. Pretty level once you're down to the river. There are benches and picnic tables along the trail. The trail exit or entrance is in the back of West St. School by the lower soccer field. There is also a kids' play area by the soccer field and parking area.
Place is well maintained, bathrooms are very cleaned and the place is beautiful. I love going for a walk on the long trail. It was very relaxing.
Unbelievably gorgeous! GREEN EVERYWHERE!!! TREES, CLEAN WATER! WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE! VERY CLEAN GROUNDS. Spotless. WHOMEVER CARES FOR THIS PROPERTY IS DEDICATED AND IS DOING A WONDERFUL JOB. I SPENT MEMORIAL DAY WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS. IT WAS GREAT. LAUGHTER, KIDS PLAYING! WHAT A GREAT HOLIDAY! I LOVE THIS COUNTRY! THANK YOU!
I like to come here to hike. It is scenic, but it is a small park and there's only about 3 trails. One of the trails is about 1 mile round trip, the other one is about 2 miles round trip, and the longest is about 4 miles round trip. You can also walk the paved roads within the park, but the roads aren't that long either. Also, I like to go biking here, but it's too small of a park to bike. It's good for kids though. However, they do have a nice recreation area that has covered tents that you can rent or picnic areas that you don't have to rent, and they have picnic tables, grills and a nice large grass field area where you can play badminton or volleyball.
Nice walking trails and views of the water. We parked up by the dam and walked across the bridge and along the walking path if you keep going you will reach a picnic area with tables and pavilions.
This place is a gem, never disappoints. About six miles total of trails, more if you count the connectors to the northeast.
Great place for a walk. On a hot day you can find some big rocks in the water and dangle your feet in the water to cool off : Nice picnic areas and wide, mostly flat trails for walking.
It's a good park to hang out for a picnic to go for a hike or mountain bike some decent trails smallish park though perfect for about an hour's worth of exercise. unfortunately like most of the parks around here they all close up after labor day so half the park is inaccessible after labor day. Seems like the park services should push that day out at least a month as the weather still perfect for recreation outside.
Rented Shelter #2 for a family reunion of 35. Absolutely perfect. Lots of space for games, opportunity to fish. Very clean and well-maintained.
Beautiful and well maintained walking areas. Didn't do anything besides hike to the fam and then towards the railroad bridge another day, but its lovely and I will return. Paths are shady, mostly wide and flat. Good for little kids.
