The owner and staff were very professional, warm and respectful. Much thanks to the hair stylist, makeup artist and to the person who did my mothers nails. Also, her rosary was beautifully wrapped around my mothers hands and they looked so elegant and perfect. I was also comforted to see the staff who stayed behind at the cemetery and who looked to be overseeing the final burial. I'm very pleased that my niece and I chose to use Whitehurst in Clovis, Ca.

The pre plan went well and the physical taking care of my father and wishes were fine. The administration and paperwork stunk. Several mistakes were made and required us to be at the funeral home much longer than expected. The gentleman who helped us was nice, but seemed busy. We were told that once we picked up my fathers ashes that they would be placed in the chapel and that we would have time there. Unfortunately, this did not happen as they just brought out his remains and that was it. They did help secure the death certificate quickly and fixed an error that was both of our faults quickly. Would I use them again? I don’t know.

Although no one wants to have to use a funeral home, it is inevitable. My family used Whitehurst for both of my parents 27 years apart and they did an exceptional job. Kind, compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, understanding and respectful are just a few words to describe Gilbert and the other employees we encountered. The new facility is beautiful, peaceful, welcoming. Thank you for making a heartbreaking situation a bit more tolerable.
