We are a full service bait and tackle shop, offering rod and reel repair, custom rod building, rod rentals, guide service, live and frozen baits, locally hand tied flies by our guide staff, fly and spinning gear, the latest lures, plugs, and scented jerkbaits and most importantly, friendly, enthusiastic and expert advice.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Whitney is a one of a kind soul. He is open and running even after the hurricane, and I couldn’t recommend his shop more. Thank you Whitney!!! My boyfriend came to visit and wanted to do some fishing. After getting completely and unknowingly ripped off by another tackle shop in Fort Myers, we stopped by Whitney’s for some tools. He kindly explained that the rod we rented was in terrible shape, and not meant for what we wanted to fish. He hooked us up with a very nice pole, rigged it for us, and sent us on our way for half the price of the other shop. You can tell that Whitney is there because he loves fishing and helping others, not to make money off of people. He is a very knowledgeable, passionate, and honest man. Go support his business!!
What an amazing place. The owner is one of a kind, a true gentleman. he truly loves and enjoys. It was very passionate about fly fishing. if you’ve ever wanted to learn anything about flyfishing this is the place to be.
Had a great time out on the water with Nate. We had some non-avid fishers in our group and he set us up with everything we needed. He took us to several spots to find some good fish to take home including snapper and trout. Made for some killer fish tacos that night!
This guy is a joker. We called before hand to ask for live bait. Dude tells us what he has and then we get there and he tells us, “I just sold out of everything.” He did that to us twice. I get it, first come first served, but really? Sold out of everything you claimed to have in 15 minutes?!?! August 25, 2023
Awesome little store! Friendly, clean and probably has anything and more that you may need. I had to stop and shop on the way in and also on the way out. We purchased snacks, bait and even a couple of souvenirs. Prices are reasonable. I’ll definitely stop in again if we ever pass by again in the future.
Was fishing around cape coral and sanibel for 5 days and wasn't having any luck. Stop to get some more shrimp and asked what I'm doing wrong! He took the time check over my gear and set me up correctly!! And gave me a ton of input! Within 5 mins of my 1st cast I finally was catching fish!!! I will definitely be back!! Highly appreciate all of his input and would give more stars if I could!!!
Man they got crushed by the storm but they are open for business selling the same stuff! Great selection of hoodies and long sleeves. Bought something for the whole fam while I was down for work from Clearwater. Have to love supporting Sanibel business’s as much as we can. Skip bass pro and go to Whitney’s for your fishing gear. They have plenty.
Great locally owned business. Picked up a few items, and the guys were super helpful and attentive.
Great place, but if you have boat behind you can't park..could improve evening hours. Nice staff & owners!
It was so nice to see y’all open after the hurricane even with no electricity. Even after Ian’s destruction, Whitney's had a great selection of gear, lures, etc. Run by a super friendly couple! Looking forward to doing a charter with y’all. Best of luck in the upcoming months!! I’ll be back!:
