Very nice clean and newer store . Not as big as the one in tustin . Its pretty small but has a decent selection of products . You are limited on the brands. The buffet and roasted chicken is fresh . Nice bakery section . Will come back
March 2023 • Culver City,CA Very clean as the majority of Whole Food and well stocked. The layout was a little different than many Whole foods. It was a smaller Whole Food compared to the majority of the other stores and it was actually weird don't find the self check out. I did like the fact that they had grilled tofu since most of the time at the salad bar don't have grilled one. Not too bad but if you travel as much as I do, you see the difference in other stores
Worst location I've been to. The vegan pizza is always the artichoke one, they used to switch between a few different ones but now its always artichoke. If you order a whole one for yourself you can only order the artichoke one. I actually decided to try it once and ordered at the counter. When I asked for a vegan pizza the lady said "so cheese?" I figured she was asking if I wanted cheese on it so I said "yes". But the odd look she gave me made me double check and say "the vegan one". I got a confused look so I pointed at the menu and repeated "the vegan pizza". She had to come out behind the counter and look at the menu. Took notes on the ingredients and finally got it. Said it'd be 20 minutes. About 30 minutes later I asked another lady if the my pizza was ready, without looking at me or anything else she said "no". Got the pizza home and there was a hole in the thing. Literally a whole in the dough and the whole thing, just a hole. Another time I was hungry enough to try a slice again, got home and looked in the bag the cashier had filled up with my groceries. They usually do a pretty bad job at bagging items and always seem to put the heavy stuff on top for some reason. But this time took the cake, they put my slice of pizza on hits side tucked in on the side of the bag......come on now
Had the BEST experience at this Whole Foods that I had to write about it. Huge props to store manager Brian and employees, Andrew, Bethany and Amy. I entered the store on a mission to buy a nice piece of 7 pound prime rib to cook for Father’s Day. I was surprised to find that the meat wasn’t available when I had been in the store 2 days prior scooping it out. To make a long story short all the parties involved helped to make my shopping experience pleasant after my stress level went through the roof when I couldn’t find the meat. They offered a comparable, if not better, option. I felt like I walked away with quality product at a reasonable price. Brian made sure I was a satisfied customer and I definitely was. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart. We’ll be having a wonderful Father’s Day celebration.
My rating is based on this being a 365 version and not the full scale whole foods. It's a nice sized trendy looking store, great produce in a large walkthrough area along the left wall when you enter the store. The food in the self serve hot and cold bars looked very fresh, they had more vegan options than some of the full stores i've been in, and the areas were clean. The foods were clearly labeled with the ingredients, which was awesome. It is really scaled down from the full version, so don't go in expecting the same variety of snacks, juices, bulk spices or nuts. But they do a great job of covering the basics. The workers were nice and helpful, and the cashier said they'll be expanding it into a full store, so that will be a huge bonus. Even as a 365 I'd shop there again. Had to drop review to 4 stars. Went to return items and was advised only the store supervisor had the code to do and she was currently locked away in her office taking a test for the next hour. They don't have a customer service area to do returns. The store manager said he didn't even have the code to do the return. Good grief.
Former 365 store. Decent flow and plenty of item options. Hot station seemed unkept and food looked old. Overall the store was decent though it’s a bit of a trip from my home area
Located right off the freeway on Baseline, it's small like a Walmart Neighborhood Market, but the selection is carefully chosen to be somewhat well-rounded. Open-space layout with a modern, simplistic design. Seems more like a novelty and fun place to check out than anything else right now. Had trendy vibes with indie-alt music and an environmentally conscious theme. Would recommend if you want to try something different, but not for serious, long-list grocery shopping. Definitely worth checking out, though!
We’ve been coming to this store for 5 years now since moving to the area from closer to LA. When we first arrived, the selection was not great, and so we never came more often than once a month if that. They had nothing unique to offer over the other grocery stores in the area, and there was nothing to justify how much more expensive they were. Then something changed and they started having an awesome selection, finding a niche for the more eclectic shoppers in the area. We absolutely loved their salsas the lucky habanero private reserve we had only ever found before in LA, their pizzas and hot meals so many *good* vegetarian and vegan options, their house-made desserts, and the alcoholic drink selection. We could always find something of quality that was worth coming back for or something new to try, and we started frequenting at least once a week, getting all our staple groceries from here too. However, over the last month or so, it seems they’ve decided to go back to the old ways, much to our chagrin. Their selection has been greatly reduced, and each time we go we find ourselves at a loss for our usual favorites, and instead forced to choose among a meat-heavy hot meal section with the same exact dishes each time, or mediocre brands we can find for 70% the cost at Vons down the street. We decided today it just isn’t worth it anymore and that we’d go back to having Vons be our go-to, saving a trip to the Whole Foods market in Pasadena on the weekends for the special stuff. Such a shame.
This is the 7/11 of WholeFoods. It is mostly convenience food and has a much smaller selection. The store is clean and people are great, but I wish it was a full whole foods not a mini one.
First time to this location and I loved! It. Salad bar was great! Deli shop was great! The store is very clean and staff is super friendly.
