On my tour of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, this was my favorite lodging. You'll feel like you have one foot in the 19th century. Bill and his wife show sincere, personal hospitality. The rooms and restroom/shower building are clean and show an attention to detail. Bill has a no alcohol/drug policy here. Breakfast was excellent. The pancakes kept coming until I was full. For the dollar value, nobody can touch it.
Stayed at Wild Bills and ate a fine dinner at the local cafe and a fine breakfast that Bill made for us the following morning. Bill and his wife were great hosts, everyone in town that we encountered, were very welcoming. We biked here and stayed the night and its all part of the experience for GDMBR or the CDT. There was a shower, and a washing machine, both items are luxury when you are hiking or biking. The folks in South Pass City were friendly as well.
We were fortunate that they had available rooms, we rode into town without a reservation but Bill accommodated us. He and his wife were excellent hosts and the property is clean and welcoming. This isn't a 5-star Ritz and that's what makes it great.Rooms: 5/5
We stopped in town, needed a restroom and the owners were very kind to allow us use of their facilities. We had a lovely conversation with both Bill and Carmella and hope to return for a stay at their B&B one day. Thank you!
Bad experiences are unfortunate but I've had a good one here and in this town. Accommodations are excellent. A minor inconvenience is that at Wild Bill's specifically there are no outlets in the cabins themselves, though outlets are provided elsewhere outside. There's laundry no dryer, just a clothesline, a bathroom, peace and quiet, and cute cows that roam through the town. Historical markers abound and the town is a good place to stick around and rest. Thank you Bill for your hospitality and kindness.
Boy - pay no attention to what Ashlee Lazaro wrote! Some friends and I just came back from a motorcycle trip starting in California that included a wonderful stay at Wild' Bill's Bed and Breakfast. They couldn't have been more kind or accommodating. The rooms were absolutely spotless, in fact the whole place was spotless. We got in late and they went out of their way to provide us with a great dinner and we were treated to a delicious hot breakfast to start a long day of riding. We definitely plan to return on our next adventure. Thank you Bill and Carmella! If we could give you more than 5 starts we would - Dave, Larry and Dan
Highly recommend staying at Wild Bill's Bed & Breakfast. My husband & I recently stayed in a cabin there during our ride on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Bill & his wife Carmella were the BEST hosts... they served us coffee & cake at night and an amazing HUGE breakfast the next morning. Carmella even did our gross bike laundry for us and gave us homemade cookies before we heading out the next day. If you're riding the GDMBR or hiking the CDT, stop here!
If you're doing any of the CDT through routes you gotta roll into Atlantic City early enough to eat at the Grub stake and stay at Wild Bill's. We had a warm cozy night with snow on the landscape, wood burning stove and heated blanket, and a delightful breakfast where I felt bashful when I turned down the last of the pancakes.... Hosts shared great information on the routes and the people who had been through recently. Some of the trail condition info they shared from previous guests during the early Sept storm we thought sounded dubious...but proved to be completely accurate. You can tell they love sharing their backyard with you.
An amazing place for great rest and great food after a long days bike ride. The owners were super nice and worked so hard to make sure all guests had a cozy, clean night stay and a homemade breakfast in the morning. Thank you Bill and Carmella!! We so appreciated our stay!
Don't go here for gas, the 55 gallon drum they offer to pump from is $10 a gallon amd sketchy. The worker not bill seemed dishonest and rude. We chose to go to the next town instead of sticking around. Glad we did.Service: 1/5
