Very nice location right on the lake. We stayed in Smith 21, which had a great view over the marina with rocking chairs on the covered porch. The room was cozy and quiet, with 2 twin beds. The bathroom had a nice large walk-in shower with toiletries provided. We had drinks at the nice covered outdoor seating of the restaurant bar while watching a thunderstorm roll in. Then later we had dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent! Then we had a nice stroll on the sunset boardwalk after the rain cleared.
We went to dinner here last night, and I can’t rave enough! We moved here from the Gulf coast and have lived in Tennessee for 4 years, I have to say this is by far the best seafood we’ve ate! The crab cakes, huge shrimp, and salmon were all amazing! Our kids played with the games after dinner, and everything was perfect. We will be back! Thanks for the great food/time!
The tiny village cabins were perfect. The size was great for the two of us, and we enjoyed talking with others around the firepit. The cleanliness of the cabins and the site was impeccable! We will recommend Wildwood to all our friends and family, if they come to the area. We eat and the Marina often, so we already knew that would be great. The hiking trail across the street is new and was fun as well.
I could go on and on about this gem of a place! The staff is so friendly and helpful, the food is incredible but beyond that the scene is what's to write home about. You can enjoy a boardwalk that is made for movies, and sunsets that I can't even describe in words. I love to listen to live music and take the kayaks out on the water. This place is one of the best! The only reason for 4 stars on rooms is that it is a bit more rustic so don't expect a Nashville resort. Although it could be with how amazing it is Safety: Well lit and felt super safe. Walkability: The whole grounds are easily walkable and nothing is too far out of the way. Food & drinks: Amazing Sunday brunch!
The whole experience was wonderful! The staff made us feel right at home and were so friendly and accommodating from the time we checked in til we checked out. The rooms were some of the nicest I've stayed in. Beds were so very comfortable, amenities were outstanding. We ate each night at the Lakeside Restaurant. Food was delicious and the service was spectacular. We ate breakfast on Sunday at the restaurant and it was very tasty - just what we expected. We had never been here before, but will definitely come again. I give it more than "two thumbs up"! Rooms: The bed was wonderful - I slept the whole night through, which is unusual for me. I would give it 5 stars plus one for cleanliness and appearance. The staff was so attentive to any requests we made. Safety: Very quiet, not a lot of traffic. We felt secure the whole visit. Food & drinks: Food was delicious! We had the Suttons Sirloin and the Big Bang shrimp the first night and they were awesome. The Ketle Club was mouth watering and the potato soup was very good. Highly recommend eating here.
My husband and I had a great time for a weekend getaway. We had an amazing lakeside view, the food was delicious and the staff was so kind. We did the all inclusive package which was a wonderful deal. The walls were a little thin so we could hear what was going on in the room next to us but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to visit again soon.
Had a massage by Melissa Dean if you are needing a relaxing massage or a massage focused on something specific like I was she is absolutely the best. I had been having trouble with my shoulder to the point I hadn’t slept through the night in months but after I seen Melissa I finally had relief and was able to finally sleep through the night. I will definitely be seeing her again.
5 stars! My husband, 12 year old daughter and I just returned from a long and memorable weekend at Wildwood. At check-in we were greeted by Matt, who was so friendly and escorted us to our home. We stayed in a Saltbox tiny home Cardinal and LOVED IT! It was so nice to have the living area, a full kitchen, dining area, that amazing bed and all of the windows with a beautiful view of the lake from our private balcony. Our daughter slept on the pull out sofa which was super comfortable with luxury bedding from West Elm. In fact, I think everything in the home was from West Elm - which I love! Great quality and style! The lotion was Nest, another brand I love. Other nice touches were the coffee set up and everything you need to cook and enjoy a meal- which we did one morning. We had a great dinner Friday night at the Lakeside Restaurant. The wine list was impressive and we all thought our food was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. During the day, we walked around the lovely property and the boardwalk. We hiked the nearby Bearwaller Gap and drove a short distance for dinner one night at the Bull and Thistle. It was chilly during our stay, but can't wait to return and enjoy the lake activities. Wildwood is a true gem.... friendly staff, high quality and stylish accommodations, great dining and bonus.... so close to Nashville.
Greatest place I've vacated in a long time. The peace and quietness were amazing. Great places to fish. Great place to go boating. This is a hidden gem just an hour from Nashville. Nearby activities: This place offers an array of activities from ping pong, corn hole, fishing, pontoon boats, and a sandy beach. Safety: I felt very safe at this place. Walking around and no worries. Walkability: Great boardwalk to a pavilion and fishing. Food & drinks: The food was amazing from hamburgers, BBQ, salmon, and party melts. The desserts were even better than the food.
Wildwood is a gem that was abruptly tarnished for me today while attempting to enjoy a spring brunch…. We were approached by the manager after seating outside with our 2 small dogs. Which has been standard protocol at this establishment for my entire several year patronage. I was approached by the manager ashley and informed to check in with the hostess first as she proceeded to explain that handing out menus and ringing orders in was not her job. Offering to bring us menus and waters but nothing else being that was obviously beneath her being a managerial position of not only the restaurant but also the food truck . Note, self outdoor seating has been the norm for us the past few seasons. The manager lady was quite rude and she seemed somewhat out of place at such a nice venue. Possibly she was overwhelmed by the busy indoor area, however we elected to quietly sit outside and wait to be served Note there is no signs indicating to walk inside to ask to sit outside , being we had two small dogs we normally park and walk through the common area by the burn pit and sit outside without incident. We did this and I informed the bartender we had sat outside. We weren’t in a hurry I just found it made sense to sit down and not walk inside with dogs. Again this has been my normal practice for years. My interaction with manager ashley ruined the vibe so we elected to return to our local marinas on Center Hill Lake. I understand the isolated area at Granville makes it difficult to staff the marina with friendly and qualified staff however today was unfortunate; and I have a feeling if the owners had witnessed the interaction this manager would have been escorted from the premises. It’s always enlightening when you frequent a place and then are immediately humbled in such a crass fashion. Ryan N Corcoran
