About

Our family serving your family and the community of Ohio County for more than fifty years.

Description

As a family owned and operated funeral home, caring for families of Ohio County for over 50 years, we know how important respect and dignity are to your family. That’s why we care on a personal level, not because it’s our business, but because it’s our way of life.
We know that a funeral home with deep roots in the community, and relationships with local family and friends, can best help those who are grieving. With this understanding we are able to provide your family with personalized burial and cremation options as well as pre-planning options at a fair price that will honor your loved one's life and legacy. That is why we are still family owned and operated, local, and we continue to be deeply committed to providing only the best to our families and the community that we call home.

Danks is a family oriented business. They treat your loved one and family just like you are their family. They help with all the hard questions and do not try to push anything you don't know or want. In other words they are not there to push something pricier on you in your time of grief. They also don't bat an eye at any music or any thing that may be different to most people. But the reason I made it through my father's funeral without a major breakdown was before I even walked in the door one of the great ladies that work there told me, "wherever he is at he is happy because he has a smile on his face and looks so much at peace." And I was able to make it through knowing that. They answered any question anytime of the day or afternoon I called. It didn't matter how little or big or crazy it seemed at the time, I got an answer. But if you want or need a place that gives you 100 percent when you're going through one of the worst moments in your life and a place you can trust then Dank's is where you should go. I cannot thank them enough.
My dad died in Florida. The funeral home there did an abominable job embalming him! We transported him to KY because that was where Mom and Dad’s plots were. Mr Danks and his son told us they would do their best to make Dad look like he was supposed to look. They did the most AWESOME job making Daddy look like he was supposed to look !! Danks is the absolute BEST!!
They help you out in time of your loss love one .
Very professional, respectful, kind. Been taking care of my family for years. Can't say enough about these wonderful people and the care they've given our loved ones.
These people r so sweet they helped my friend Pat Seaton after she lost her husband. They walked us thru everything and I am so appreciative for them all. I would highly recommend for a beautiful ceremony! Thank u all during our time of need. U all were so great to us all.
