It absolutely lacks customer service!! It's much better than Bush international Airport but I encountered multiple unprofessional and rude employees. We understand they deal with a lot of people, but that is their job. You would expect professionalism and courtesy, but all I saw was employees acting careless, talking about their personal lives loudly, screaming at people, yelling for lunch and a break, saying they didn't care if their managers didn't, and were treating us like cattle. I was quite disappointed at this airport, however, people have no other choice but to go through the mistreatment to be able to make it to their destination.
WPH Airport is really nice. They have an indoor playground for kids, plenty of food establishments, and it is clean. The only thing I did not like was the location of the BBQ restaurant. It is located on the outside of the security perimeter. But at the same time, it is a great location for friends, families, and co workers to eat and say their last good bye's or wait for loved ones traveling in.
It’s a decent hotel for what it is. It is mostly a Southwest hub, and it can be nice to fly in and out of here if you are going to be in more of the southern part of Houston. The airport is a little confusing a navigate especially for the rideshare areas. I do wish the hotel had more like lounge areas even if affiliated with Priority Pass.
Nice airport with paid parking and easy to get to. About 24 minutes from downtown Houston. Has shops and mini food vendors to choose from. Airport prices of course For gamers, there is a game play by gate 1. If you are Priority Pass, you can use your pass for 1 hour of gaming and also 1 drink and snack for free. ENJOY!
Hobby airport improved quite a bit a few years ago but it's not up to the mark anymore. It looks a little dates, last time I visited a lot of kiosks we're out of order, even at 3a, there were a lot of people and long lines granted it was end of new year's holidays - the airport just looks small for the number of people here. I liked the fact that the long security line clearly showed how much time it was taking to get to the security point, and it was updating in real time.
William P. Hobby Airport Houston is usually considered as a small airport, but big don't see it that way. Yea, it might be smaller than the usual international airports we are used to, but I think this a very decent and nice airport. I flew southwest at the airport, and the services were very ok. They had enough self-service points that one didn't have to wait long to use one. The airport is well equipped with all the facilities required. The security points were on point as well, they did their jobs so well and swiftly. They have an underground parking lot, and they also allow pick-up amd drop-off points where you can drop-off your passenger and pick-up quickly. One thing though, even though this might not be particularly related to the Willam P. Hobby Airport, the traffic to get there is alot, so you need to bear that in mind, so you don't miss you flight. I think I got a bit lucky because the flight was delayed a bit. Oh! I forgot to mention that they have kiddies playing ground. It's so cool, when you have kids and I have to wait for a long flight, rather than the kids been cranky, they could just play and while away time. I think is has to be one of the coolest things to find in an airport. In general, William P. Hobby Airport is a good alternative of airports for people to try. Yea, it might not be the big ones we are used, but I believe they are as good as the others. So, give William P. Hobby Airport a try today.
It's easy to pass through the TSA and gate if you are flying with Southwest Airlines no need to enter the train. It's a walking distance.
Hobby is the best airport in the nation. Lines are extremely small for an airport in a big city, and the actual airport is spacious and clean. The restaurants are very good for the size of the airport, offering a wide selection of food choices ranging from BBQ to seafood to fast food. If you’re flying Southwest, don’t even hesitate to fly into Hobby vs Bush. You won’t regret it, and once you experience it once, you’ll never want to fly into Bush again!
Technically, it should be four stars, minus one for baggage claim, but it’s clean, clean, clean, thoughtfully designed, everyone is super polite, the security has good flow. Excellent experience flying out. Baggage claim needs some signs by the chairs that explain the “we don’t know where it’s going until the driver picks a belt” policy and says what bags are where. You either have to keep getting up to check the one screen or hope you don’t miss an announcement. Crackling good wifi and better communication would shorten the psychological wait time.
Nice small airport. Easy to navigate. Mostly southwest flies from here with a few other airlines. Everything seems on time and orderly. There are places to eat get coffee or essentials. Plenty of places to sit while waiting flight.
