Don't even think about trying to call this location. The number will only ring and no one picks up, and eventually disconnects. They do not have enough delivery drivers and they are relying on Essex Junction to do deliveries. Mail and packages are constantly delayed for days, despite being "out for delivery" as a status for days. No updates given and you wonder if the mail is lost. This office needs to hire more workers. They are truly doing the town of Williston a disservice. Can't recommend as it's not reliable. The one star is because their in person at the counter used to be friendly, but even know the current staff seems stressed and over worked. Just a sad state of affairs.
Don’t expect your packages to come on the delivery date. Have been dealing with Williston USPS for years and constantly disappointed. A package I have coming now was supposed to be delivered Friday and it is now Tuesday and I still have 0 idea when it’s coming.
The actual post office itself is staffed by helpful people doing their best, friendly and efficient, as much as they can under the circumstances. The main problem here, and it is a massive one, seems to be in the local sorting office, separate from the actual post office. Supposedly staffing issues. But these result in packages taking 2-3 weeks to get delivered, if at all - most end up having to be picked up at the post office in the end, if the consumer has themselves tried to trace and track their package and if by chance the place where they bought their goods have sent a notice that the package is ready to be picked up the post office itself doesn't seem to send any such notices. Its truly a horrible situation and no longer makes purchasing absolutely anything larger than a letter online Amazon or anywhere unless you don't mind waiting weeks for it and spending a lot of time tracking it down and driving to pick it up yourself.
Had to give them at least a star to write a review bit they don’t deserve it. I guess the new business strategy is place all your issues on the backs of your customers. Why is it the customers problem for all their issues. Either do your job or get out.
I have mail that has NOT been delivered in over 12 days! Everyone with the USPS that has anything to do with mail delivery should be fired and merge the Williston Post office with the Essex Junction Post Office or the South Burlington Post Office! It is unacceptable NOT to deliver mail and packages for weeks! I had to reorder my granddaughters birthday gifts from Amazon and have them sent to my son's address in South Burlington because I never received them.
This post office is the worst I’ve ever encountered. If they’re so short handed, then hire people! It shouldn’t take 5 days to a week to deliver something that’s been marked as “out for delivery” days ago. I feel awful for people who have to have medication delivered! Thank goodness I’m moving soon; my next post office seems pretty reliable.
Every single Amazon package for the past few weeks is “being held at USPS” with no attempt to deliver and no reason shared we live in a neighborhood and no carrier has ever had issues delivering anything. We also regularly receive mail that addressed to different addresses. And somehow junk mail still always makes it into our mailbox though.
I know everywhere is short staffed right now but I’ve been waiting on a perishable package that’s said “out for delivery” for a week and a half. When I contacted USPS they said they choose delivery routes everyday and just haven’t chosen my route yet and didn’t know when they would. This is unacceptable, routes need to be done evenly. I asked if I can pick up my packages and they said no.
Lived in Williston most of my life, and used to look forward to going to the post office - not anymore, sadly. I understand dealing with frustrated people all day is not easy, but this post office has failed to deliver time and time again when it comes to mail and packages. My items sit for at least a week kicking around between Williston and Essex, and then sometimes get delivered days later. Constant lines of people asking the same questions: Where are our packages? The only delivery service that seems to have a handle on delivery in the Williston area for me is FedEx. If you are given the rare option of a choice on delivery, do not pick USPS or UPS. Would give 0 stars if I could.
I was told that they do not have enough help. Completely understandable, but inability to hire and retain employees is a challenge many businesses face. And if you are unable to solve it, stop accepting consignments for delivery for the Williston location. Let us take our business elsewhere. Accepting business knowing that you do not have the resources to fulfil it is terrible IMO.
