We love the Wilson's. Our family has gone for lessons since 2016. Both of our children take lessons and are pretty active in their group play between lessons, jams, and the many concert throughout the year. This last summer our youngest joined went to their Battle of the Bands Camp. She had so much fun, she can't wait for another to happen. Our oldest has played outside a restaurant and was even asked to play for a ceremony for Girl Scout at the capitol. The Wilson's have really given our kids confidence to be their musical selves. They put so much thought, effort, and passion in their school. The Miller's would like to give them more stars but Google only allows us five. Thank you Wilson's!
Love this husband and wife team!!! We have had our boys in violin lessons for 6 years and this is the first time I’ve had to tell them to stop practicing!! It is obvious that Mr. Andrew loves teaching. The improvement in their playing is amazing considering the small amount of time they have been with him! If you are even considering starting lessons or picking your instrument back up, I highly recommend giving Wilson a try!!!
My daughter loves Wilson School of Strings!! I can't recommend these wonderfully fun loving teachers enough! My daughter started out with piano lessons and now has moved into violin/fiddle lessons, such an encouraging environment for your little one to come out of their shell...speaking from experience!
I was skeptical about their approach to teaching music. But other private tutors weren't yielding results and my daughter disliked going to lessons. So I gave Wilson's a shot, and I'm so glad I did. She started with piano and got good. After a while, she switched to violin and also got good. Now she's playing the ukulele and loves it! They really helped find her passion and they have great flexibility.
My son has been learning piano at Wilson School of Strings for 3 years—he loves the opportunity to preform both as a soloist and with fellow musicians, and is building core skills that will be the perfect foundation for future musical endeavors. The family has such a fun vibe that extends to all students and makes them truly feel like they belong to a community; the ideal way to experience music!
Best music school in Texas!! The teachers are so nice and encouraging, I've learned so much from them! Would highly recommend to anyone who has an interest in learning an instrument!
My 8yo daughter was initially reluctant about starting piano she wanted to wait until she was 12yo. We told her, if she didn’t like it, she could quit after two months. Five months later, she continues to love it! She practices only 5-10 minutes at a time, never too long to start disliking it. She enjoys her small group classes of multiple levels. Loves the little “contests” within class and being able to experience her first recital. The school has been flexible with make-up classes to accommodate summer vacations. I keep hoping my daughter will see a different instrument that she wants to try next, as there is always a multitude of stringed instruments that other children are learning, but it’s probably good for her to get the piano basics down first!
Our 8 year old has been taking piano lessons for about a year now and she loves this place. Its a small family business so the Wilson family are the teacher for most of the classes. They are all very friendly and encouraging to the kids. The prices seem very reasonable.
One of the nicest and most talented musical families around. Fantastic instructors who play and teach a broad range of instruments and musical genres--bluegrass, swing, old time, rock, Irish...you name it, they play it/teach it. Each instructor is encouraging and positive, generous and happy, I leave each lesson excited to practice and can't wait for the next one.
