Windy Hill offers a great selection for making beer and wine. The best part is the owner, Rich. Rich is such a knowledgeable man that truly shows a passion for brewing. Every time I go I have such a good conversation with Rich. He has taught me so much and recommended such great products and recipes. He also takes care of his customers by offering great prices and deals. Compared to larger brewing stores, Rich really creates a great atmosphere where I can confidently share a beer and get honest feedback. With online brewing outlets taking a lot of business from physical shops, Rich truly shows the benefit of an in person experience. He is willing to answer any questions and direct you towards a great outcome in your brewing projects. Making the 45min drive every 2 weeks is well worth the experience I get with Rich. I consider him a friend and a scholar. All other brewing and winery supply stores should strive to be what Rich provides. I cannot stress how great of a business Rich has created.

Offering wine & beer DIY supplies. Also stocking various single batch kits available.  The owner Rich is a wealth of knowledge of all things fermented. He is a great resource to have, especially for those learning how. If you ask, Rich will offer his opinions on which supplies would fit your application best and is never pushing for a sale. He has actually offered suggestions that have saved me money. Pricing on everything I have needed is better than most.

I used to order my brewing supplies online. After a few fiascoes I started driving 40 miles to Windy Hill and have not been disappointed. For the past six years Rich has been supplying and guiding me with great ingredients at a really good price. For home brewers, Rich is invaluable!

Love how this place is run by the owner himself! I always come here to get any supplies I need for making mead, wine, beer etc. Rich always knows the answer to any questions I have. Wheather I'm unsure of what yeast to use to get the result I'm looking for, or I'm debating what container to ferment in and why, etc. He has the experience necessary to answer any questions you could ask. Prices are great as well!

Windy Hill is a great place to get everything you need to create great homebrews or homemade wines.  Rich is a great resource, and a font of information for the homebrewer or winemaker.  I can't say enough about how helpful he has been to me.

Great selection, good prices, the owner is astoundingly helpful and gracious with his time. He is extremely knowledgeable and willing to help you make the best homebrew you can make, regardless of if you're a master vinter or a total newbie.

Great selection in a small shop. Prices are comparable or better than online prices that I've found, and you get friendly knowledgeable service added in. I buy all my brewing supplies here, and the only thing I've ever had to order ahead of time is a specific yeast that I wanted to experiment with.

This place is the best! Rich is always pleasant and helpful and calls you by name when you come in. I feel blessed to have this as my local winemakers shop!
