I went through an unpleasant life experience but was met with amazing nurses, super thorough doctors. They were on-top of all of my needs, I had to be alone and had both of my children born there prior now they are 14 and 9 years old and they were so compassionate. They kept me out of pain and completely educated about the whole process. They were very supportive and sympathetic because I didn’t know I was going from a doctors office to admission for observation and next day surgery and as a single mother-I didn’t get to kiss my kids bye like I wanted too as the procedure I was about to endure carried life threatening risks and multiple different surgical options if my uterus were to bleed too much. The nurse overnight Reheime really sat with me and was so sweet as I swelled with tears nightly, they put my socks on for me, got me a charger with urgency as they knew I wanted to speak to my kids. They were all so very kind. The doctors answered all my questions without making me feel rushed in any way. They have never disappointed me over a decade ago as a teen mother and they most certainly didn’t this time either. I live all the way in Merritt Island this time too-it was worth the distance for the care. The best hospital for women, pregnant women and babies. It was a beautiful stay and they were very conscious and considerate of my anxiety that I didn’t even have to mention it as it was always handled. Truly no hospital competes. I was blessed to be in their care. Every single nurse and doctor was filled with kindness and full of assistance. Truly a beautiful treatment for a scary and traumatic event otherwise. Love them. Your baby and you will never be in any better care.
Recently had our second baby there and despite it being a very busy day for labor and delivery, we were met with nothing but kindness, care, and enthusiasm. The triage nurses did everything they could to keep us comfortable from juice to warm blankets. When we made it up to L&D, our nurse Hannah was phenomenal, keeping us informed, light-hearted, and letting me labor as desired. She was key in the safe and uncomplicated delivery of our baby, holding my hand and encouraging me alongside my husband during labor and while pushing. We were able and encouraged to order room service shortly after baby boy was born and were able to eat peacefully together while we waited for a recovery room. Our room was available sooner than expected, and our recovery nurses quickly made sure we knew what to expect in recovery and made sure we had everything we needed, including checking in to make sure we had eaten and had water. Everyone was friendly and supportive of our labor, delivery, and postpartum decisions, and we were able to get discharged quickly after the 24 hour mark as we desired.
My most recent experience was overall wonderful at Winnie Palmer. I have a few touch points I’d like to highlight that stood out. The labor & delivery team were the most amazing team I could have dreamed of. The nurse and anesthesiologist made me feel that my comfort and needs were important. They were so kind and nurturing. My delivery nurse was so communicative and attentive to me. My midwife team was incredible I know this will vary based on your regular provider. The LPN that prepared me to go to postpartum was so sweet and personable. She made me feel like she was taking care of her own family. My postpartum team was amazing as well. The nurses and lactation team were so helpful. The nurses really tried to protect our family’s sleep as much as possible which was great. This wonderful staff made our stay so calm, peaceful and perfect as we welcomed the newest addition to our family.
Our experience was wonderful. At first the patient volume at the hospital was so high it took us awhile to get into a L&D room but other than that we have so many good things to say. We were quickly put into triage where we waited awhile for a room but the nurses were great about checking in and making us comfortable while we waited. Once we were in a L&D room our care was phenomenal. DeAnna - our L&D nurse spent so much time with us making sure I was comfortable and managing pain. She was attentive to my husbands needs as well. Our doctor & midwife from Women’s Care Florida were there with us also. After delivering, Deanna was great at taking care of us but also giving us space and time with our new baby. It was a good transition time from L&D to postpartum. We then had care from another amazing day nurse, Ashley. She made our experience in postpartum great - she had a great personality, we have many great things to say about her. I highly recommend the celebratory dinner after giving birth. The dinner from the chef was MUCH better than room service food and it was a nice treat to have a fancy dinner as a new family of 3! The entire staff was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable.
I delivered both of my babies at Winnie and had the best experience both times. Dr Luciano was my OB both times and I was so happy to be in her care. I experienced slight complications w both pregnancies and she made sure to explain everything. Jennifer in the ER/triage was amazing. Alisha took care of my family after my delivery and always made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to the entire staff! We love this hospital!
I had a great experience for delivery and follow up from Winnie Palmer. The OB stayed with me through my entire labor and the nurse was flexible and open to all my requests. The mother and baby unit had the nicest nurses and care techs who were very helpful with tips for breastfeeding and giving us space while also being attentive to our needs. I was enrolled in the hypertension program and the virtual visits with the nurses have given me such peace of mind.
Where to begin… From the start of our labor journey at triage our nurse Kelsey was absolutely amazing and truly made us feel like we were her top priority. We made our first trip and was sent to walk for a while. Once our contractions were close enough we went back the next night and Kelsey was there to welcome us with open arms and we were admitted. She made is such an easy transfer up to labor and delivery. Once we were up in labor and delivery our nurse and the anesthesiologist made everything again so smooth and walked us through everything and just made it a great experience. Things didn’t go as planned with a regular delivery due to our sweet chunky babe which resulted in a c section after 12 hours of excruciating pain. However the Dr. Lee was absolutely amazing and everything thing went great. Our OR anesthesiologist don was there to hold my hand every step of the way. I’ve had two other children which were not delivered at Winnie and I will say this was by far the best experience any expecting mom can have. Gretchen was our nurse in recovery and all I can say is absolutely amazing and truly made our stay amazing she was our night nurse the 2 nights we were there and she is just amazing! Overall amazing experience with how busy this hospital is they never missed a beat. They were on there A Game! We love Winnie and are so grateful that we were able to experience our last little bundle of joy with this wonderful group!
We enjoy our experience overall. All the workers over there are really helpful and friendly, the nursers were absolutely incredible, but, during our stay way less than 48 ours we moved for 3 different rooms, the second one had an old chair that didn’t lay down and didn’t had a bathroom, which was very inconvenient, because they said the hospital was too full and they had to put women’s who had c-section in better rooms than who had natural childbirth which was our case.
Amazing experience, everyone was extremely caring. I came in through Triage, because I wasn't feeling well and Stephanie took care of me, she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and gave me encouragement. All the delivery nurses and Midwife were very helpful and super attentive. Millie was my last nurse before I was discharge and she made sure I was set up with a lactation consult before leaving the hospital. The lactation nurse was super helpful, thanks to her I am breastfeeding my baby like a pro. I feel bad for not remembering her name, but I'm sure you guys know. 10 of 10 service, everything that was done to my baby was informed and well explained.
I had my first baby here on 7/16. The nurses, midwife’s and all the staff were AMAZING! They definitely made my first birth experience truly and deeply amazing. Michelle the midwife was so nice and she made sure that I understood exactly what was happening when it was happening, or even before it would happen. The midwife Stacy who delivered me was amazing and helped make my delivery amazing. My nurses, were so amazing and I wish I could remember all of their names, there were so many amazing nurses that we met and that helped take care us before and after delivery. I am not kidding when I say that EVERY SINGLE nurse we met was the best and amazing, they formed relationships with us, and they chatted with us and we felt like we knew them for longer than their shifts. The anesthesiologist was great as well, she came in and explained how it worked and she explained everything she was doing as it was happening. So I was not left in the dark about anything I was feeling- or not feeling, and I felt so comfortable. The Nurse who was on shift during the hardest part of my induction and labor, Stephanie, was amazing. I felt so safe and so well taken care of with her, and I’ll never forget her or how she took care of us. Between the nurses and midwife’s, I would definitely do this again.
