What a great state fair! There was a gluten-free food truck there, and as a celiac, it's the first time since 2018 that I could have fair food. Cheese curds, man, I practically cried--they were so good. They had planters and flowers all over the place. I don't know who planted all those blooms, but I very much appreciated them. The fairgrounds were absolutely beautiful, and the weather was perfect.
Been on this earth for 40 years and never been to the State fair. I was totally blown away. Bring your appetite, good walking shoes, and money. Stayed all day, plenty to e as t and Live music. Definitely coming back
Never knew about the hidden garden and history building at the Southwest entrance! Beautiful and a great place to slow down and let the kids play while the adults unwind! 3 different ponds w/ small waterfalls, giant chess, bags, playground, gardens & more!
Fun opening day! Beautiful flower plantings and the animal barns were busy prepping for shows. I wish there was more shade available and why aren't misters available to cool the fairgoers?
We had a blast and walked our feet off at the State Fair this year. Got free kid tix on Bucks Day huge savings for our family and saw Salt-n-Pepa & Shaggy on Friday night. So fun! The parking was a bit rough though as we have a handicap tag one of the kids broke their ankle but we couldn't get close parking so that was a bit frustrating. Overall fun was had by all.
Loved the entire WI State Fair Experience! Such a great family friendly experience... Great entertainment throughout the fairgrounds! Plus all the Farm Animals! M-O-O!
There are so many choices of food .favorite carnival drink is the shaken lemonade Philly cheese steak is the best. The Sautee onion's green pepper and red pepper steak was blended with the cheese on a toasted bun .
We were lucky to be there on a day it was quite pleasant--70s and not horrible humid. We traveled with a 3 month old, a 9 year old, their mom my daughter and me on a rented electric scooter. The 9 year old really perked up with the animals and had her annual pony ride. She had the need to "shop" every souvenir stand and now poses a number of tacky fair rememberences. The baby did great in her stroller, and I made it across the park several times, thanks to my Scooter. It's not cheaper to rent--about $75 by the time I checked out--but worth every cent! Be sure to order yours in advance because they sell out quickly. We tried some of the Sporkies, but for us, the winner of the day were the cheese curds we found!
We went there tonight for the Shrine Circus. It was pretty decent for a low budget circus. As always though I struggle with the overly drugged animals. The shows with the people were fantastic. The contortionist were and always are our favorite!!!
Large building. Super clean. Was nice at the state fair. Plenty of restrooms as well. I enjoyed playing the pull tabs.
