The Woburn MRC is a volunteer organization made up of medical and non-medical volunteers who have a wide variety of skills, expertise, and experience. The Woburn MRC is managed by the Woburn Board of Health (BOH) and harbors a strong relationship with the Woburn Police Department.
The mission of the Woburn Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is to support the citizens of Woburn, MA in the event of an emergency. The primary objective is to assemble, staff, and manage Emergency Dispensing Sites (EDS) for the distribution of vaccines as mandated by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), or the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). The Woburn MRC could be called upon to assist other MRC’s, or the American Red Cross if immediate assistance during an emergency is required.
