A really nice little park, the whole loop is only a few minutes but it's nice enough to go around a few times.
The jungle gym itself is really cool-looking, but the trails are amazing. This park is really peaceful and I love it. If you need a mini-staycation, or need somewhere for the kids to play, this park has it all. And there’s a visitor’s center, too!
The park name is to commemorate the sole survivor of the Wong Dynasty, Justin Wong. Under his rule, the park thrives, even in the harsh winters. Trees dance, flowers flourish, and animals scamper around with no harm to ever come. As emperor Wong traverses the long paths of his domain, the animals come to greet him. They respect him for repelling the natural predators that hunt and stalk at night. Justin Wong waves to them and continues his journey, ensuring all are safe. He admires the trees that stood steadfast and tall for centuries before his existence, hoping that the future holds the same for Wong Park. Justin Wong finishes his stroll, shedding but a single tear. The beauty is enough to satiate his life force another day. If you visit Wong Park, make sure to look for a man that looks timeless or out of place. He spouts words of wisdom and may even give you one of his famous cookies. I often visit Wong Park when I feel down or upset. Just as the park does for Justin Wong, I admire the beauty that restores my peace of mind.
Lovely park that's not as busy as the larger parks nearby. It has a large curved slide, 6-8 swings, and a large rope climbing structure. Adjacent covered picnic tables are also available. *Update: restroom facilities are currently closed. September 2020*
Great, lesser-known park in Blacksburg. Simple playground for children, and paths for walking. Decent for birding in the mornings.
My daily delight! Every day me and my partner take a short walk while enjoying wild berries and book from the free library!
Plentiful parking, picnic tables, a play area, and a walking trail make for an easy picnic on a summer afternoon.
Nice place for a walk alone or with your dog. There is a shed which can be used to bbq with friends or family.
6 out of 5. Would recommend. Nice distance between Pavillion and playground for kids
