We went to Blacksburg Municipal Park for the first time since the grand re-opening, and what a difference! There was plenty of shade, completely new composite equipment, a new zip line feature, and more. My child had a blast, and we definitely will be going back!
Wonderful little refuge. Especially if you have kids. Playgrounds galore. Swings. Gyms. Plenty to climb & enjoy. Disc golf par three course as well. Dogs on leashes welcome.
The new part of the Park is amazing. Tons of fun stuff to do for a lot of different ages. The caboose is always a hit for my kids. The lower part of the park looks like it might fall apart at any time. There were broken pieces of the slides on the ground, some of the things you climb on were broken and kind of a danger for kids to grab on. The restrooms being up by the parking lot is frustrating with little ones but fine overall
Awesome Municipal playground with free parking. Lots of vestibular and sensory experience is available for any child from a little one to a big one. Public bathrooms are available with lots of grassy areas to play in too. There's even a Big Caboose to climb on if you so desire. There's also an Indoor Aquatic Center, softball fields, tennis courts, and soccer areas along with walking trails and picnic shelters in the area.
Amazing park with great surrounding area. The park is really big. You have many pavilion for sitting together. You can arrange picnic there. They have big playing area for kids. There is also tennis courts. Big open areas for roaming.
Really like the new playground my favorite part is the mini zip line swing! The new names around the park is awesome too! However the big slide has been broken almost since it reopened.
The playgrounds are great. My kids have had a lot of fun there. Also near the pool and there's a walking track across the street. Playground: 3 different playgrounds to play on. One just remodeled this past summer 2023 Restrooms: So glad they put new restrooms in when they redid the hand n hand park. Picnic area: Several picnic areas to choose from.
Love coming here. Great place for a birthday party or a summer cookout. Easy to rent a shelter and affordable. Plenty to do for all ages. Wish it was closer to my house. Playground: The new hand in hand playground is amazing. Wish the large slide was a little bit sturdier. Picnic area: Clean and plenty of tables.
This park was wonderful. The kids played for hours. We will definitely be back.
Great place for my 6yo to play. There were tables and benches for parents. I'm not sure how tall they think patents are, but my feet dangled from the benches in the new area.
