I had the pleasure of staying at Woodbury for 21 days. This is not wilderness camping. That said there is a community of people there that are genuinely kind, and the staff are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Special shout out to the fella at the boat house, Went over and above to help! They try to accommodate everyone and that is not easy. The restaurant is excellent and the prices are great..Wish I could've stayed all summer. Bring you quad, rod and and clubs and a bevy or 2. Thanks to all at Woodbury, A very special place there! What a great time! We got a chance to come at a good time when we could use the wood stove in the front yard : yes front yard it has an amazing little front deck made of rock. This was cabin 21 for those very specific about reviews as i am... Back To the cabin.. Very cute cabin with dishes To use and nice shower stall also. Beds comfy and satalite tv is nice. We made a cake in the oven outside with a load of wood so 10 maybe 20 bucks and we had the best cake we ever ate : worth it! Would 10/10 tell my friends about this gem stone. Food was awesome at the boat cafe right on site. Make a réservation. No need for a jacket totally toasty maybe too toasty but amazing service and a 10 for food too. Friendly front staff and other staff all make it so nice we are booking again. Lake view when you wake up worth a million views. Noteworthy details: Internet could maybe use an upgrade lol but everything else was incredible : seriously lovely place.
Great staff. Their website needs more interior pictures of the different accommodations offered. And the beds definitely need an upgrade. Overall, it's a good place to stay for a fishing trip on Kootenay lake.Rooms: 4/5
Thank God this place exists! It's the heart of Kootenay Lake, and that experience was created by the owners. You have to think of the Catskills in the 60s to understand how homey it is. They are so welcoming, you'll feel like you never want to leave...You are lucky to be reading this, so go book a week and check it out yourselves.Rooms: 5/5
Tented on the beach? Well not really a beach. Lakeside is a better description. View was beautiful. Terry the owner seemed good natured enough. However, the facilities are like stepping back into 1968. Coin operated showers were disgusting. Beach toilets were cramped and the outdoor sink was plugged with dirt. The sink faucet was laughable. Signage was rudimentary, slapped up in seemingly 1972, and haven't received a link of paint since then. Basically, a place that needs a huge amount of maintenance and updating. However given their bread and butter is long-term seasonal and year-round RVers, cash flow seems no issue, so why sink money into the joint? Sad in a way... I won't stay there again.
Wanted to rent a pontoon boat today. Some overweight guy came in and told me it would be $70 per hour, when it said $40 per our on the web site. He apparently did not even work there, but delighted in giving me a hard time. Then they offered me a motor boat. After looking at the boat and feeling totally unwelcome, we left. Not a great place to rent a boat.
We have been coming here for the last 5 years we love the resort and the pub. The people that work here are fabulous they always make us feel like family. The pool and play ground keep the kids happy the nights are quiet the store has everything we need . I highly recommend this resort for your camping experience. Nearby activities: Hot springs ,cave tours
We just stopped in for dinner and couldn't be more pleased! Delicious menu items with way too much to eat. Very nice staff also! We are eating on the deck with a river flowing right past.Service: 5/5
We camped here while visiting friends. The campground is nice and washrooms with showers were always clean. Great place to stay.Rooms: 4/5
Although our stay was short, we enjoyed our time here at Woodbury Resort. The staff and neighbors were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this RV site to future travelers.Service: 5/5
