Today we decided to go somewhere we’d never been, so we ended up at Woodland Mound. It was kind of late in the day, so we didn’t have much time at the spray park! However a walk thru the park was just what we needed! We discovered an oversized set of monkey bars I believe they are for working out but we had some fun on them. Then we walked a trail and read the plaques on the benches all while taking in a amazing view of the Ohio rivier. Perfect weather and contrary to the spray park closing early going during that time meant a less crowded park, so after our walk we finished our visit off at the playground of course! It’s $6.50 to enter the water park even if they are closing soon. In addition to, they have a concession stand and bikes and a bike stroller for rent. Picnic area: About 6 picnic tables by the nature center
This is a beautiful serene place to visit, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the road and fast paced life. We grilled out, put up a hammock and watched natures creatures all around us... Cardinals, deer grazing, and raccoons. Come visit this hidden gem!
Went for a friend's birthday party and really enjoyed the water park! We will definitely head back to check out the regular playground, but the water park was great for various ages.
Hamilton County Park district park that is tucked away in the eastern edge of the county, paved and natural walking paths, water park, snack bar, nature center, frisbee or disc golf course, multiple shelters and picnic areas some of which can be reserved. I've been going here for years and it just keeps getting better with age Playground: Padded ground for the play area is very sturdy and the equipment is well maintained, right next to the water park, snack bar, restroom, and rangers office Restrooms: Clean and stocked with soap and hand dryers only drawback is there is only cold water to wash hands Dog-friendliness: Many people walk their dogs here and it is very impressive to see that everyone seems to clean up after their pups and the park has a few spots where you can get a bag to clean up after your dog or if your are like me clean up of I see something that was missed. I can also leave any extra bags in this dispenser Picnic area: I think there is a total of eight or nine covered picnic shelters and another area at the snack bar. Some can be reserved for a small fee for lager groups all have picnic tables and benches
Great park. Conveniently located near Ohio River. Lots of trails and walking opportunities. BBQ grills and picnic shelters. Lots of picnic tables throughout the park. Tons of parking. Clean restrooms. Lots of trash cans. Beautiful fall foliage. Playground equipment for the kids. Horseshoe pits for the adults. Situated on a huge hill with sweeping views. Great place to bring the family for a picnic. Nature trails are awesome with birdhouses and native grasses, nice quiet place to walk, listen to the birds and get your mind right
Nice park to be with friends and family. One star less because of the vehicle permit needed which was not very evident from the Google reviews earlier. We got to know at the entrance to the park. You need to take a daily permit of 8$ if you are a resident of any country outside Hamilton country. For Hamilton residents it is 5$ per day. You can take for annual pass as well. The center issuing passes closes by 6 pm. There is a snack bar and wet play area as well. Both close by 7 pm. The disc golf play area, picnic area and play area for kids are good. It has various hiking areas ranging from .5 to 2 miles. They are easy and nice.
I love the beauty and amenities of this park. It has lovely overlook areas, with view of the river. It is very well maintained with a great playground, splash pads for the kids, frisbee golf, and a variety of picnic options.
Perfect park to get out into nature for a few minutes. Great for bird watching and easy nature hikes. There are also parkour trails as well as a frisbee golf course and plenty of spots for a picnic. The trails have changed up in recent years due to erosion but they've been on top of improving them.
We really enjoyed this beautiful park, great for every age
