Woodlands Swim School is a mobile swim instruction service brought to your home pool. I teach children how to be safe in and around water.
18 months – 3 years
These 20-minute swim classes focus on increasing your child’s awareness and confidence in and around your home pool. I will reinforce water safety skills as well your child’s love for water. Exposing your child early, in a comfortable and familiar environment will eliminate any fear they may have of swimming. This approach will give them a chance to build swimming and safety skills as quickly as they grow and develop physically and mentally.
Six classes, three a week for two weeks -- $210
4 years - 6 years
These 30-minute swim classes introduce children to swimming independently while developing coordination and strength in the water. I understand and recognize every child is different and will guild progression at a pace that isn’t too high or intimidating. Your child may develop certain skills with ease, while others may take more time. I will use a variety of techniques to foster each skill as well as provide easy “homework” for your child to do in and out the pool to help the progression.
Six classes, three classes week one, two classes week two, one class week three -- $210
4 years and Up
These 30-minute Semi-Private classes are for children who are comfortable in the water but need more stroke development. I will work on developing each student’s water safety awareness, independence as well as social skills like taking turns and appropriate, age-specific water play. The students in the class will understand that swimming is fun, but you still need to remain safe and kind when swimming with friends.
Eight Classes, two classes a week for four weeks - $125 per student
These 45-minute Stroke Development classes will be catered specifically to your competitive swimmer’s needs. I can focus on a variety of areas to help the swimmer be faster and more effective in the water. Curriculum in these classes would include legal technique for breaststroke and butterfly, underwater breaststroke pullouts, flip turns, starts and finishes.
Six class punch pass to be used within 30 days - $250
Adult classes are also available and 30 minutes. Adults that have gone through their entire life without being able to navigate in and around water needs to be corrected as quickly as possible. My main priority in these classes is making the adult feel safe and confident in around the pool. I will use a variety of techniques to eliminate fears and concerns and build confidence. You don’t need perfect technique or skills to have fun and enjoy the pool with friends and family.
