Marty was incredibly helpful. His kind spirit and demeanor made a very difficult experience easier for me. My husband’s burial service was exactly what I wanted for him.
Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things in life. Life at that time is flipped upside down. Our family is very thankful for the care that Mackey Funeral Home provided during such a difficult time for us.
We wanted to have our funeral arrangements taken care of recently, and the service and care we received with making them was wonderful. We are glad we came here this week.
From the very first phone call to sitting down with the funeral Director was an a amazing experience given the circumstances. Attention to detail and to what we had planned for my husband‘s funeral was met with encouragement and courtesy. At all times I knew exactly what was expected and how it would be carried out and who would be responsible. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience for my husband John and for his “Promotion to Glory”. From the staff who came to our home, the receptionist to the greeter and all those connected with the funeral arrangements especially Jasmine and Alex were kind, comforting, and courteous, but above all they made me feel that John was a very special person to be taken care of.
They was so helpful with helping plan my mother’s service, constantly was on top of everything made sure the family was satisfied with everything and asked if there was anything else that could be done or needed to be done, even reached out multiple times to assure everything was good, helped us come up with a affordable plan for a beautiful service. The staff was amazing and I couldn’t have asked for a better service to do my mom’s service. Everyone and everything was so professional. I would highly recommend using again or to anyone who might need help with planning at the last minute or even pre planning ahead. Will definitely be using again sadly for future when in need of a service.
Mr Jeffrey Lister, Mrs Holly Stoudenmire and staff were wonderful. We felt they went above and beyond for our family.
Mike and his team are so kind and compassionate. They truely care for you and your loved one and feel this is their ministry. Even when things weren't going as planned, Mike worked with us. I'm a little different than most ppl. I wanted to be apart if my mother's care. My sister in law, cousin and I did my mothers hair, makeup and nails. The staff in the care center were also helpful, and compassionate. I would definitely recommend Mackey for their services.
From the time I called them to make an appointment to come in to make the arrangements until we said our last goodbye's to our loved one, every person we dealt with had the utmost respect and empathy for what we were going through. And to think they do this every day of any given week, yet treated us like we were the only ones they were dealing with! I was so impressed. I felt like I could ask them anything about the process and get a straight answer. They also helped me stay within my budget, since I was paying for it myself. And even though they showed us all the beautiful merchandise they have available such as urns and memorial items to remember your loved ones, I never felt, at any time, that they were pushing me to buy stuff. Of course, the funeral home itself was very beautiful and accommodated our family's needs. But the best part were the people we met. Mike and Ian. They were exceptional in their attention to every detail. I am sure we will use their services again, if and when we are in need of excellent funeral or cremation services. Unfortunately we needed the services of Woodlawn and even though it was the hardest thing I ever had to do the staff at Woodlawn were absolutely amazing from the moment I called and spoke to Laura and then when we met with Trevor they made it be a easy process. Trevor was knowledgeable and easy to talk to and personable and listened why we cried and tried to make decisions , Trevor even was answering questions and text from me at night and on the weekend and he was present the day of the funeral and handled everything. I can’t say enough about how it was handled so professional and caring. They made it easy, you should call them today and let them help you plan, they make unpleasant changes easy !
We did a direct burial through Mackey Mortuary/Woodlawn. Everyone was very respectful and helpful in getting this arranged and carrying through. No one was judgmental; but on the contrary, the support and care we felt were the same as if we had chosen more extensive services. Our plots needed to be moved from another state to Woodlawn so that we could be near our infant granddaughter. Jeff Lister at Mackey/Woodlawn made this happen. We are so thankful and blessed.
