The Chico State WREC Climbing Gym welcomes all Chico State students to experience first hand one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
The WREC Climbing Gym boasts 36-foot walls and 3,000 square feet of climbing space. You will find over 125 routes for all skill levels on bouldering and top rope climbing walls. There is a large area dedicated to bouldering, which does not require the use of equipment. The use of a thick pad below cushions any fall.
Don't have gear? Not a problem! Basic climbing equipment is available, FREE of charge at the WREC Climbing Gym. Available equipment includes: shoes, harnesses, chalk, and for those who are belay certified, ATC belay devices and carabineers are also available.

Want to climb, but don't have a climbing partner? The WREC Climbing Gym offers staff belays between 3:00pm - 10:00pm Monday through Friday, and all day on Sundays.
