This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL Funeral Home that I have ever been to. You would think that you would be treated with sympathy and respect when you lose a loved one but oh no, not at Wrights Funeral Home in Franklin, Va. I am well aware that people get really tired sometimes but if you choose a profession that advertises services for 24 hours, what would you expect? My brother has been deceased since Thursday November 10th and is literally rotting while waiting for a death Certificate to be signed. With this being said and knowing that it would be days before the body would be cremated, why wasn't the family advised to embalm the body rather than saying "it would be a waste of money"? Treating a deceased body with NO DIGNITY is unforgiveable!! Our family, traveled for 3 hours to get there to view his body for the last time and when we arrive, we heard from the owner, it has been a long day, I am tired and don't want to be here. Well, do you think we wanted to be there and more importantly, do you think my brother wanted to be there either? And to top this off, his son gets there the next day to see his dad for the last time and was told no you probably don't want see him at this point!! Sir, the only nice thing I could say to you is "You chose the WRONG profession" with the attitude you have!! You don't even deserve 1 star for your rating!!
Grief is a harsh, heart rendering emotion. You either want to build up or tear down. Sometimes you want to strike out at anyone and everything. No one wants to have to deal with the final arrangements of a loved one. Some are fortunate that they have been made in advance, insuring that wishes and requests are granted. Almost my entire life Wright Funeral Home has been where my loved ones have been handled. I could not imagine going anywhere else. From Barky"s dad, to Barky, it's always been professional, courteous and kind. It takes a special kind of person to deal with others grief on what seems to almost a daily basis. The details that they attend to are difficult to deal with on any level. But what gentle and kind souls they are through it all. That is what my experiences have been. You are never really prepared to have to make these last decisions, and alot of people aren't aware of the whole of the chain of events that must happen before their loved one is taken in. Thank you all. Job well done, good and faitfhful servant.
Our Boxer Moose who was part of our family for 16 years passed and my family and I just moved in the spring from upstate NY- we don’t know many people here and all I can say is given the circumstances given south Hampton vet big thank you for directing us to The Wright’s Family- exceptional folks who cared more about my compassion than money lol I had to ask about paying the time I brought Moose to them I wouldn’t get that RESPECT back in NY - the next day Moose came home and is with us in spirit- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING THE FAMILY YOU ARE AND THE DIFFICULT DUTY AND SERVICE YOU PROVIDE ITS BEEN MY HONOR TO MEET YOU - RALPH
This is a long time coming but this funeral home is very unprofessional and in your darkest hour u need all the help and compassion u can get My brother was killed in auto accident in 2010 and we received the called he was taken to Wright funeral home We were treated very poorly Their are only 2 funeral homes in this area and wish we went to the other Please do your research I wouldn’t recommend this funeral home to anyone
I didn’t deal with them personally but what they did for my little sister im very thankful
